This was the first movie out of three we watched at the weekend and its the one I was probably least sure about. In a funny twist its the one my husband found the funniest and he would watch again. So possibilities there that it definitely suits different people - I mean what doesn't - but probably more it depends on the type of humour you like/find funny. I think this movie was more the like 'dry humour', or the its so stupid it becomes funny humour - which yes I can laugh at but after awhile I just start thinking "oh this is dumb and pointless" and it looses my interest. Definitely not a laugh out loud, can't stop laughing comedy movie that's for sure.
Keith is a pretty funny character and like nothing I've met before that's for sure. He becomes famous/ a billionaire over night and that's where everything starts and ends/goes wrong. There were some interesting and essential life theories explored that's for sure - I wont say to much as it will give away the movie. In essence the blurb on the back of the DVD captures what this movie is about perfectly! Nothing more, nothing less.
There is good acting, good lighting and a half decent story line blurred slightly by the 'oh this is just dumb' moments that you end up laughing at anyway. In saying that, to make that statement have context - if I wasn't reviewing it I probably would have given up watching it and left my husband to it! I have rated this DVD fairly highly as I accepted that it just wasn't my cup of tea and I could instead base those things on what my husband thought of the movie. I therefore would recommend to others depending on what type of humour you enjoy ![]()
