What Does The Fox Say? product reviews

Do "you" know what the fox says? Based on the hugely popular YouTube video with more than 200 million views, this picture book is packed full of foxy fun. Dog goes woof. Cat goes meow. Bird goes tweet and mouse goes squeak... But what does the fox say?

The lyrics of Ylvis's YouTube sensation "The Fox (What Does the Fox Say?)" meet Svein Nyhus's playful illustrations in this irresistibly entertaining read-aloud picture book.

I'm sure we have all heard the song and even if it drives you insane it's hard not to sing along! I work with children and it gets sung on a daily basis. When I walked into the shop and spotted the book I couldn't resist I had to buy it.

The book is the lyrics of the song and you can't help but breaking into song when you read it. In fact I challenge anyone to try and read it without singing along. The illustrations are done by Svein Nyhus and he does a wonderful job of matching the quirkiness of the song. Each page is filled with quirky images of foxes.

I have only had the book a week but already it has become a firm favourite with the children I work with. They all know the song so well they love being able to read/sing along with me. The pictures have been the focus of many conversations as there is many quirky little details on each page. It really provokes children's imaginations. If you are a fan of the song or your children are I recommend investing in the book you will not be disappointed. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with a cd as well.
