When I first saw this book I thought thats really colourful and I love arty stuff, so thought it would be neat to have a look at it and learn something maybe. When I got it yup the cover is lovely its bright and inviting, even my 5 year old daughter went for it saying it was a nice book. I do like the pages they are bright and very well done, the first page gives you tips on how to paint a person I guess, like picture the person then you pick paints etc and then open up the book to get started. This is a great skill for those into it will need.

Going though the book on the left page is a beautiful drawing/art of a person and on the right hand side is information about the piece, who did it, when was it done, and things about the picture, this is done on a flip out flap. It also discusses about the artist like who is picasso? Opening up the flap there is information on how to do that type of art, giving tips and instructions., These are demonstrated with bright colours and pictures and simple words

There are so many different artists to learn about and so many different techniques used for different art pieces. My daughter isnt really old enough to understand it and well I'm not really into it, but I'm sure someone else would really love this type of learning about art. Its a great book for the right person.

With such a wonderful looking cover I thought that this was a definite must see.

Each page in this book gives you different art style from famous people such as Arcimboldo and Picasso. You get given one large picture of one of their famous artworks and on the other side you get some information about the artist and their style, and a little bit about their style. There is a flap, flip it open and there is a very easy step by step instructions on how to copy the art style.

My favourite page was the 'Girl in the Mirror' by Roy Lichtenstein. It's a painting that I have seen many times but never actually knew who painted it. I thought that the instructions for copying this style were nice and simple and using stuff you can find at home such as bubble wrap!

My children loved the Egyptian Burial Mask because flipping the flap over reveals instructions on how to make your own mummy mask. They are both very excited as I have promised them a try during the school holidays.

This is a fun and interesting book for all ages, my crafty side is in love with this book.
