I have been walking passed these crispy Lavosh snacks for months. Every time I see them on the shelf I want to buy them. But the price was holding me back a little. Finally they were on special one week and I couldn't stop myself. So I bought home a bag of the Sea Salt and Olive Oil flavour. This is probably the plainest one available in the range. But to be honest the reason I picked it was the bright blue bag.
Blue is my favourite colour and this blue bag is just such a striking colour. It makes the maroon of the 180 degrees branding stand out. There is also a small clear window so you can see what you are getting. The bag itself was easy to open and easily re-sealable. I wasn't too sure what to expect.
When I opened the packet, I pulled one of the snacks out. The texture of the snack was thick. There is a scan't amount of oil on the surface. When I snapped the snack, it made a satisfying crunch sound. I noticed that they were all a regular rectangle shape. Some of them were connected, but it was easy to snap them apart.
These snacks are great with a dipping sauce. I tried some BBQ sauce I made. Plus I did a sour cream with sweet chilli. They are great with a little slither of cheese and chutney. I also tried them plain. Plain they have that olive oil taste with a slight saltiness. They are a little drying to the tongue after a while. I have kept them in the same bag for over a month, revisiting when the desire arises. I can say that they have stayed nice and fresh the whole time which is a bonus. I'd like to try the other flavours.
