I grabbed a box of this last weekend when it was on special. I had been wanting to try this flavour for a while. My favourite flavour of drink, both alcoholic or not, is coconut and pineapple mixed together. They are really tropical flavours that always work together and remind me of summer sun and all the good stuff in life.
Because of the trouble I had opening the tetra box last time I tried the Pure in the range, I was very careful opening the seal. This time I had no trouble and the seal opened easily and without the mess. I love the straw on these packs too. They are telescoped so they fit nicely to the side of the box, but you can lengthen them as needed too.
When I tasted this, I guess I was expecting something sweet, with that familiar tart taste of pineapple and smooth creaminess of coconut. However, this is coconut water so the creaminess was absent. The pineapple taste was very natural, but had a graininess to it and wasn't as tart as I hoped.
Again, this drink needed to be enjoyed chilled. As it warms it doesn't taste as appealing. For me this was my least favourite in the range and I probably wouldn't buy it again. I clearly prefer coconut milk with my pineapple and for there to be a more pronounced pineapple flavour..

Monteith's Crushed Pear Cider, like Crushed Apple Cider, doesn't use concentrate in its production. Instead it's made purely with sun ripened Nelson pears which are first crushed to release their juice, then directly fermented.
Because Monteith's doesn't use syrup concentrate, the end result is a lighter and truer cider. Monteith's Crushed Pear Cider is best served over ice or enjoyed straight from the fridge.
