This is another one of those pull out the books from when my oldest girl was little books, i'mm finding so many great books that I forgot we even had. We have been getting into reading alphabet books such as this and The Tommy Kapai book T is for Tauranga and playing with our alphabet blocks and singing the abc.
I love reading this book as you are learning the alphabet while listening to a cool story. My big girl loves to read it to her little brother and encourages him to say words that he knows like his own name and mum and dad when she gets to those letters.
The book has a rhyme for each letter and most of them use alliteration too so each word starts with the same letter as well so it is very clever in the way it is written. The illustrations in it are great to they are really bright and colourful. Joy Cowley has some great books and I love to buy books from New Zealand authors and this one is one of my favourites.
