I received a test pot of this sweet orange sugar scrub recently. When I opened the pot, the smell of orange was really delicious. Orange and mandarin oils are really refreshing and uplifting scents and I always feel invigorated when showering with something like this.
I found my first look at the scrub itself a bit off-putting. I'm use to quite creamy scrubs, and so to open the pot and see this hardened lumpy stuff - I didn't know what to make of it. However, I know a few people who swear by this. I didn't have any instructions and I was already in the shower, so I just scrapped some out. My hand was wet and the scrub softened a little when I added some water.
As I rubbed this into my skin on my face, and especially into my problem areas like my T zone, I was impressed. The scrub was not too harsh. Some I have tried in the past have either been too gentle and others were far too rough. Because this is a sugar scrub, it starts out rough an then dissolves as you work it into your skin with the water from the shower. I thought that was really smart.
I only seemed to need a small amount to clean my face, and the pot I got which is only small would last me about a week of daily use. Still $4 is quite a bit to pay for a 10 gram pottle. If I was to only use it once a week, maybe it would be worth the price.
I have the small test pot of this sugar scrub and it ran out pretty fast. I have used it only on my face and neck prior to using the acne cream. Once I figured out that I need to have my face already wet and my fingers wet so it would spread a little more I was good to go. This Orange Sugar Scrub is extremely exfoliating and my neck and face feel really smooth after only a few days of use. A natural product that smells great and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and sparkling clean!
I have already ordered some more of this in the larger size but at the price would only use it as a facial exfoliator not for my body. I have really loved the three products I have tried and because all the products come in the small test pot size I have ordered some of the other products to try. I can't wait to try them! I found the website easy to navigate around but had difficulty ordering on the website. Joanne who owns Eternal Essence however was extremely prompt in responding to my query re ordering and I had no problems ordering the items I wanted. I would give a 10/10 for customer service and look forward to purchasing more products as I require them in the future.
A fantastic New Zealand business that I would recommend to anyone wanting to try a good quality natural skincare product for themselves and their family.
Eternal Essence's Orange Sugar Scrub is my cleanser of choice. I use is every day in the shower. I love everything about it and I definitely notice the difference when I change to another product usually because I have been given something to review or I have run out. My skin doesn't feel as clean and I am prone to breakouts if I use something else for more than a day or two.
I love that it is an all natural product there are no artificial colours and it uses sugar grains rather than environmentally harmful plastic beads to remove dead skin. Although the instructions above suggest using about a teaspoon I use about half that and usually still have some left on my fingers to scrub my heels and elbows.
It has a lovely orange scent that I find very invigorating so have learnt not to use it if I am having a quick shower before bed. The scrub really does clean your skin without damaging it. I often use it on my preschool daughters to get marker pen off their skin, they don't complain, in fact they enjoy using Mummy's scrub.
It is not the cheapest scrub on the market (especially when you factor in postage) but Eternal Essence is regularly having sales or no reserve auctions on their Facebook page which is when I stock up.
