I had seen these advertised and talked about on the Hellers Facebook page and last week at the supermarket they were on special (2 packs for $10.00). I hummed for ages about what flavours would suit my family the best in case they had strong flavours so settled for the Smoked Chipotle and Chedder and the Chicken ones (in another review!). I love smoky south american flavours and these seemed perfect - and indeed they were!

The packaging looks very modern and appealing and it draws your attention. 6 sausages for $7.99 i find a bit expensive but for the sale price i thought it was good. On the front of the package i didn't see that these were precooked sausages and because i had chosen to cook in the pan not the BBQ (the mans job!) i was worried if they had cooked all through. I ended up overcooking them as i thought i needed to 'cook' the meat. I had since thrown the pack out before i went to list and write the review - but i presume it states this on the back - **note to self: always read the instructions!!**

Although these ended up being a bit overcooked, it did not effect the flavour/texture of this sausage. When you cut inside it, the sausage was moist and the cheese oozed out. The texture was perfect, unlike the processed feel of other leading brands of cheese sausage. The taste was just what i expected and more. It was smoky and tasty but not spicy. The kids gobbled these ones up and i found myself cutting into the sausages to find what one was this and what was the other flavour that i purchased as once cooked they looked very similar. These were the definite favourite!

Overall i would possibly buy two of these packs and avoid trying the other flavours, as i'm not sure the other flavours can compete with this one - its amazing!! Its such a shame that between the two flavours i tried, such a gap formed in my opinion about them. These ones do not contain the health tick like the chicken ones, but are a tasty treat for summer!
