I have 7 letters to describe this product: A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!!!! The box was really cool, the bright colours and the way the T-Rex skeleton seems to be alive, it was so cool that I was anxious to play with it. I found it better than another excavation kits I've played with. This one was better because a) I love dinosaurs (yet again, who doesn't?) b) The box was very attractive, and c) I got to assemble the bones after I dug them up, just like real palaeontologists do!
I found assembling the stand for the finished dinosaur a little difficult, and it won't stay together properly; I'll have to secure it with tape later. Digging up the bones was the best part - I had loads of fun as I saw the bones start to appear as I dug away at the fake rock. The small piece of wax that came with the kit didn't want to melt, so I couldn't attach the skeleton to the stand that way, time for Mr. Cell. O. Tape again. (Sigh)
The finished model looked awesome, though there is still a little of the fake rock on some of the bones, even after I rinsed them off, but it actually makes a cooler effect! This kit is suitable for kids 10+, as the dust from the rock could make younger kids (who like to play with dust and dirt) choke, so it's better to be played with kids who are more careful and know NOT to play with dust. I think that you will get a blast out of this toy, enjoy!!!!
