Louie is swooping and diving out of control! Flip him away to protect your chickens from his dizzy flying - if he chocks a chicken, it's out! The player with the last chicken standing wins the game! 2xAA batteries required (not included). Loopin' Louie is a fun kids' action game for 2-4 players, ages 4 and up. |

When I picked this up I wasn't anticipating a lot of plays with it, and I was right, to a degree anyways. Loopin' Louie doesn't hit the table often but when it does we regularly play at least ten games of it, because it has the possibility of being a very quick game (our average if four minutes but that really does depend on how many are playing and if you manage to hit Louie just right). The game comes in pieces, so you need to build it up each time, which can be a hassle when putting it away until you figure out just how everything needs to sit in order to fit and allow the box to close. Having to put it together each time also means it can feel a little loose and thus having one hand on the base of your leaver is a good idea. Each player gets three chicken tokens and your aim is to stop Louie from knocking yours down whilst also trying to get him to knock down the other players' chickens. Louie spins around and it is definitely easy to tell when the batteries need changing, but they do last a good number of plays (I think we got close to 100 games before we swapped out the batteries and boy could you tell the difference). Whilst Loopin' Louie is a very easy game to learn and play you still get a slight edge to it as you try to hit his wheels just right, so as to miss your chickens and hopefully take out one of someone else's. The game end is nice and easy, the last player with at least one chicken is the grand champion. I got this when it was reduced to clear and whilst it is a good addition to our collection I am very happy we never paid full price for it. |
