Review #21776 - Dated: 27th of September, 2020 Author: kiwiblondie |
I have been trying to find a good solution to chemical based body washes. Facebook keeps suggestion Ethique so I had a look at the website but was a bit put off by the price (I was originally looking at the shampoo bars) but was eventually convinced to have another look. I find that the liquid body wash gets used up really fast so I was interested in seeing how this would compare, my kids told me that they would prefer not to take part in the experiment.
I opened the box and noticed that the bar smelt good enough to eat, I sure could smell the peppermint. The bar was a good size and a vibrant colour. The box had very clear instructions. The bar lathered up really well and I hardly had to use any to get a good amount of bubbles which smelt really strongly of peppermint. I was a bit worried that I would have a strange reaction but I didn't need to worry, I could go the whole day without any rash or itches but with a slight smell of peppermint.
I used it in the shower with a face cloth and it performed really well. a good amount of lather and bubbles and I could wash and clean myself to my satisfaction. I tried it with a shower sponge (the funny thing that you use in the shower to clean yourself when you don't want to use a face cloth) and found that it cleaned well and felt great but it washed out the "sponge" to easily so I struggled to get a good body coverage when washing myself.
I would use this again, I loved the smell and feel of it. I did last noticeably longer than the liquid body wash but I'm not sure I can convince my children to change over as they said it looked too much like a bar of soap.
