gamerulz   Review #13295 - Dated: 11th of January, 2015
  Author: gamerulz

A friend told me about this site and said I should have a squizz. She's a die-hard comper so this site was her idea of heaven. Me, not so much. Full of spammy ads and links to dodgy "Win This FREE! Just download this bit of software, or sign up to this swag of newsletters, or give us your credit card number to prove your age, or something equally suss" type sites. It's pretty clear that most of them have some kind of affiliater systems and the site organiser (Lina Lundqvist?) is getting some kind of kick-back.

I saw a few of the KIWIreviews competitions in there, with prize pack values that are massively incorrect. I sent the Kr guy a message about it, because one of the competitions is rated really low because apparently the total prize pool is only $100. By my calulations it's really about 3x that much, so it makes me wonder how much (little?) actual research is being done by the comp site person / people. If you are going to promote a competition, and rate it, you need to do some real research otherwise you are leaving yourself open to false advertising and legal action for damages.

The look and feel of the site is pretty naff. Stuffed full of spammy adverts and cheesy stock photos, it really doesn't inspire any confidence in me. I wonder and worry about the type of people who would trust a site like this, this is just screaming internet-scam-site to me. If it is legit, it really needs to look at a total overhaul pronto, because the site is doing itself no favours. A little bit of geek research shows that this "Lina Lunqvist" has about 12 other domains registered, and most of them look to be mostly the same kinds of things.

I'd really like to be wrong about this, but it doesn't look promising.
