This was put on to watch and at first I thought that it would probably be a good movie as it sounded like it could be a good story but it was ruined by the incredible amount of times he would drift off into his own dream world and the story would be hard to follow. He really did seem to live a lot more in dream land than in reality and in the beginning you would be watching thinking "is this real or has he gone to his own world again"

The story would be a lot easier to follow if it was a bit easier to see when he was in a dream world as sometimes it seemed like he was in a dream world but it was real and for someone who didn't seem to do much in the beginning of the movie he certainly had some far fetched adventures near the end. Some of the better parts of the movie was when he finally caught up to Sean and realised he was chasing him half way around the world for nothing.

I am glad I watched this movie but it is not one I would really bother to watch again.

I had seen the trailers for "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" a while ago and so I was keen to borrow this the other night when we were at the DVD shop.

Walter is a very average, very ordinary man who leads a quiet life and has spent the last sixteen years doing the same job for LIFE magazine. Things get shaken up when the company is bought out and there is a massive downsizing as they shift everything to online. When Walter finds a picture missing he sets off to find Sean and discovers much more than a photo along the way. There is some great special effects along the way, the scenery in some spots is simply gorgeous and I can imagine it would have looked wonderful on the big screen.

Ben Stiller does a really good job in this film as our key character (and director and producer!) and I have to say that I rather enjoyed his acting in this. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty can be a bit of an odd movie at times, but if you like movies that are a little odd (as I do) then you may well enjoy this. The only issue I had with this film was at one point Walter gets a txt which is written on the mountain side for us to read, but translated to the small screen I had to pause the film to read it. This is a fun movie with a few "awwww" moments and some good laughs, I could easily watch this again.
