My family loves the Sun dried tomato!! I spread chopped sun dried tomato in to vegetable salad, instead regular olive oil that I usually add to vegetable salad, I add the olive oil from the jar it self. I add some al dente curly pasta and feta cheese, once you taste it you actually can imagine that you are in Italy!
I spread sun dried tomato on meat sandwiches, with some mayonnaise in fresh Ciabatta, I can eat it the all day long!
Sometimes when we make home made pizza, I use the oil from the jar itself to the recipe, it makes the dough show and smell great! On the top of the dough I spread chopped sun dried tomato. During baking it distribute pleasant fragrance all over. This pizza is the best pizza, with no doubt!
You can feel each flavour of the added spices, it is the exact dosing which together make the special taste of the sun dried tomato!
The jar is easy to use, you can comfortably dig out dried tomato each time you would like.
It has a long shelf life, but it never stays until then. I keep it at the refrigerator after opening.
I keep at my pantry at list 2 jars of this lovely product!
As you can understand, it is highly recommended!
I found out about Barkers from KIWIreviews after reading some fellow reviewers reviews I knew I had to try the products in the range. The first one I bought was the Peach and Mango Chutney and I absolutely loved it so wanted to try more. I bought this one as I love both sundried tomato and olives and know that together they are incredible.
I have just been eating the chutney on crackers with cheese for my lunch as I am trying to diet and need things to make my crispbreads seem more tasty and interesting. I love it used this way as I love the bitter sweetness of sundried tomato and the sharpness of the olive. It really is an incredible taste and Barkers have done a great job of combining the two into a really tasty chutney, yum!!
I was making home made pizzas and decided to spread this on the pita bread bases instead of tomato paste and I am glad I did as it tasted amazing. Even my partner who doesn't like olives at all liked these pizzas as the olive taste wasn't overpowering for him. We just topped the pizza's with some chicken, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella and with the chutney they seemed very gourmet yet so simple to prepare, so we will definitely be making them again with this great chutney.
I am going to use some of the suggestions given above with this chutney as I think it would definitely be great in a casserole or mince dish, and the thought of spreading it on a crostini sounds amazing. I think this would have heaps of uses as it is such a great flavour!
