Abrakebabra offer genuine Turkish kebab and Turkish pizza house. Take in or out. If it's an authentic Turkish style doner kebab you hanker for... In Abrakebabra, kebabs are made with chicken, lamb, both combined, fish, or vegetarian (falafel) ingredients. They are a mini-meal with impressively fresh ingredients, beautifully cooked, all wrapped in light Turkish flat bread, made fresh on the premises. A range of burgers come with similar fillings, in a 'regular' or 'Turkish' option - made with Turkish bread instead of a bun. Turkish pizza is also on the menu. At Abrakebabra, you can get a reasonably priced glass of wine or an Efes Turkish lager beer. |

I love a good turkish kebab with falafel and hummus and chilli sauce and if we are getting takeaways I would much rather have a kebab than a burger from a fast food chain any day. My partner loves them too but the kids aren't so keen so we generally only get it on some nights when my daughter is staying over night at a friends or familys members house. I discovered Abrakebra when Turkish To Go which was located directly opposite was so crammed full of people that I couldn't be bothered waiting in the line. I was a bit unsure because I had never heard of them before but was very impressed by their menu and their food. I found they were slightly cheaper than Turkish To Go to so we now have changed which one we go to. I do find their falafel can be a little bit dry sometimes but you get that when it is cooked in advance. I like to buy their open kebab salads, you get rice, all the salads, and your choice of meats or falafel and sauces so it is a really huge and filling meal. Even the kebabs are huge I will always get a small and even that is a little big for my liking. I have never dined in there, but have sat in the restaurant while waiting for my order and it has a nice atmosphere. The room is decorated to look sort of like a desert with sculpted walls and ceilings and they keep the lights quite dim, with candles so seems like quite a relaxing place to eat. The only thing I don't like is they play their turkish music far too loud for my liking! |
