Review #9261 - Dated: 18th of August, 2013 Author: samantha203 |
When I had my son last year it was time to get a new washing machine we had an old top loader that was getting really old and tired so with all the extra washing I was going to be doing I needed something a bit more up to date. I had always wanted a front loading machine so that is what we set out to find.
I decided on this one as it had a cycle specifically for washing baby clothes, so it was a delicate cycle but with hot water. I also liked one of the other features that was that it used a ceramic plate to heat the water instead of running off the hot water cylinder. This really drew me in as we only have a small hot water cylinder and always run out of hot water.
I am definitely sold on front loading machines they in my opinion wash the clothes more effectively and without the bit in the middle that top loaders have they are a lot more gentle on the clothes too. The only thing that still gets me a year later is how annoying it is when you start the machine and then find one extra thing and can't just shove it in like you can with a top loading machine.
The child lock works really well, once the door is locked it stays locked until the cycle is finished and the door is released so we have had no accidents with water coming out. There are lots of different cycle functions but I generally just use the mixed load setting as it only takes 1 hour and 16 minutes, if I want something washed quickly there is the quick wash cycle which only takes 26 minutes.
