This is quite simply a superb album & all fans of Pearl Jam should own it without fail. Everything is on here - just chuck it in the stereo, sit back & enjoy. Whether your a novice or an expert on Pearl Jam - this is perfect. Eddie Vedder & the boys never fail to keep everyone happy with awesome hits like Jeremy, Betterman, Black, Daughter & I got ID among others. Not often you can find it all in one place, meaning you don't have to go out & buy have 4 plus Pearl Jam cds to blow your socks off! Perfect album for every kind of mood too as songs like Nothing As it Seems and Off He goes are great for when you're in a more mellow less go hard or go home sort of mood. Normally with most Cds I find I always have to skip afew songs to find the favourites...honestly don't even have to hit skip once. Awesome album to own & should be in any Westies top 10 (if not top 5) Never gets tiresome like so many other albums I've owned that can literally sit and gather dust buried in the old box in the back of your wardrobe...go find it & get into it m/ ;) |

Mnay years ago, I encountered a song that really appealed to me. It was called "Jeremy" and it told the tale of a boy with a real problem. It told of the battle that waged inside him. I understood, to a small degree, what it meant. So I started listening to some more of this "Pearl Jam" music, and I really liked what I was hearing. I heard such great songs as "Even Flow", "Alive", "Betterman" and "Daughter". Unfortunately, I missed out on their third album, and never got around to tracking it down, so missed much good music. Thus, when I got the chance to get this compilation, I snapped it up. After listening through both discs, I was overjoyed to hear the 'new' music at last. OK, so it was only the highlights from the various albums I missed out on, but still, it was great to hear how their music has evolved over time. Overall, this would have to be a prime requirement for any PJ fans, and if you haven't heard their music (or have, but are not unaware of hearing it), then you should at least check this out at your nearest music store with listening posts. You'll only lose a bit of time, but could gain so much more. |
