My daughter got this game for her 5th birthday, she has been eyeing it up for ages and I kept saying one day we will get it. So glad someone else brought it for her as I had to keep using money for other things. As soon as she opened this she wanted to play but waited until her grandparents turned up and got grandad to play aswell as one of my uncles. Once they all left we sat down as a family and played the game. Reading the rules is a must as we thought you just pull whatever sticks you like, turns out you have to start from the top and work your way down with the colours. I love this game as it teaches children to wait their turn (we had a 5 year old and 3 year old playing) it also teaches them to roll the dice and see which colour is on to match that with a stick and pull the right colour out. The concept for a child telling them if you get the most monkeys you don't win is hard, but we are working on that with the kids, telling them they need to get no monkeys to win. I love how the game is easy to put together and pull apart again to put back into the box to put away, the sticks on the other hand are a pain to get into the holes but you do get there. The game doesnt just provide lots of fun it provides education and learning on colours with the child even knowing. The game is a game we play over and over again with the kids as they love it so much |
