The two greatest science fiction properties of all time cross over for the first time in history, in "Star Trek: The Next Generation/Doctor Who Assimilation 2!" When the Federation's most terrifying enemy strikes an unholy alliance with one of the Doctor's most hated antagonists, the result is devastation on a cosmic scale!

Spanning the ends of space and time itself, Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the USS Enterprise find themselves joining forces with the Doctor and his companions - with the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance!

Two of my favourite Sci-Fi shows join together in one book. On the one hand you have the intrepid crew of the Enterprise from Star Trek the Next Generation. In the other hand you have The Doctor from Doctor Who (featuring Doctor number 11)

In part one of two The Doctor, Rory and Amy Pond are travelling about as they usually do when they have a rougher than usual landing. To their surprise they have landed on the Enterprise and along the way they discover that things are not happening as they should be. The Doctor is suddenly having memories that he shouldn't whilst the Enterprise is discovering a new foe, the Cybermen.

I didn't really like the artwork as much as I would have hoped to, and the story does seem to rush through rather a lot near the end, without even giving any clues as to why or how the Borg and the Cyberman are now allies. I did find that they wrote the Doctor wonderfully, and I could imagine those words coming out of our current Doctor's mouth.

This was a good premise, but I shall have to wait and see what the second part is like first
