I love [[s=klutz]]Klutz sets[[/s]] and this set was no different. I was delighted when I found out that I had one my own Brilliant Bead Rings set from KIWIreviews. It took all my willpower to wait until the kids were in bed and I'd done my chores to open this. There was also a tantrum from my three year old when she found it and was told it was Mummy's.

I have done several beading classes but I'm sure someone with no experience would find it easy to follow. The instructions all have very clear diagrams as well as the text. There are also variations on the different ring styles.

I thought I would make one of each of the eight styles of rings for my pre-school daughters. There was more than enough beads and wire to do this and I made some for myself too just for fun.

The price makes it more of a gift than something you would buy for yourself, The suggested age of ten years plus would be about right as it involves threading tiny beads onto the wire.

Wow!! I was very impressed with this product. It was a real pleaser for my Miss 14 and my Miss 8 niece, both are very creative and spent ages completing projects.

This kit has over 1300 beads, an assortment of ten different types of beads, 32 gauge wire and very clear and simple instructions to follow. Make sure you work with good lighting, another great tip is to use a towel on the surface you are working on to stop the beads rolling all over the place :)

Miss 8 found it a bit of a struggle with the wire but Miss 14 helped, they have made enough rings for presents for friends and family :) great for a rainy day activity as a solo project and perfect if you have a girly sleep over.

This is a great beginners starter pack.

WOW!! What a fantastic activity.

My Miss 14 and her 8 year old cousin had a wonderful afternoon creating some pretty awesome rings.

Miss 8 struggled a little but Miss 14 was there to help with the fiddly bits with the wire. It's a good idea to begin by reading the tips etc. Using a piece of material on the table is a good start. The tiny beads had a habit of rolling all over the place which would have ended up being a mission to tidy at the finish.

With more than 1300 beads the colour combinations and designs are limitless.
I can tell what the female family members will be getting for the next few christmases and birthdays :)

Well I am a huge fan of Klutz and their products have provided me (and the little misses) with hours of entertainment. This product didn't disappoint though was a bit too tricky for them to do.

The recommendation on this is ages 10 years and up which I think would be about right.

The kit comes with a plastic tray that has compartments for the different beads. More than 1300, though I wasn't counting, and a small amount of 32 gauge wire. The seed beads are size 12, two large flowers and two small and some blossom beads. Two sizes of bugle beads - long and short and five different types of jewel beads. Small rounds (4mm), big rounds (5mm), small ovals, small bicones (4mm) and big bicones (5 mm). Not sure if that means anything to you, it didn't to me but they all looked pretty and shiny which is all I want in my beads really!! lol!

I have done one jewellery making class so have had a little bit of experience using wire. I can't say it was a good experience and the joining at the end definitely did me in. Wire can be a bit tricky but practice makes perfect. If only I had had this book!

As with all Klutz products it is a brilliant way to begin a new passion and this book really did sort out some of the issues I had had in the past. Little tips like using a towel to stop the beads rolling everywhere!! So simple. You will need a pair of nail clippers which are great for cutting the wire and also use good light. I struggled with dim light so now have a reading lamp which has made it much easier on my eyes.

There are 8 different rings to choose from starting with the easier ones and graduating on. There are lots of beads so you can definitely decide whether you like this before you go and spend money on more beads, wire etc.

I would totally recommend this if you want a good base to begin using beads. I think its a brilliant gift for young girls and will be getting a kit for my nieces birthday as it is a great craft and very faddish!
Once again another great Klutz product.
