What if you had 72 hours to save everything you love?

Life seems perfect for John Brenann until his wife, Laura, is arrested for a murder she says she didn't commit. Three years into her sentence, John is struggling to hold his family together, raising their son and teaching at college while he pursues every means available to prove her innocence.

With the rejection of their final appeal, Laura becomes suicidal and John decides there is only one possible, bearable, solution - to break his wife out of prison. Refusing to be deterred by impossible odds or his own inexperience, John devises an elaborate escape plot and plunges into a dangerous and unfamiliar world, ultimately risking everything for the woman he loves.

Going through our movies we stumbled across this. Looking at it we both thought we had seen it, but could not actually remember it. It had a 'congratulations you won this from KIWIreviews' so jumped on the site to check if had reviewed or not - assumed since there was no review from us we must not of seen.

Watching it there were parts we remembered and a lot we both didn't so not sure if that goes to prove the movie is really not that memorable or maybe we were busy while it was on so only half watched it. In saying that I did enjoy the movie. I found it so refreshing to see Russell Crowe play a family man who obviously adored his wife so much that he was willing to break the law for her. Its not action pact as I am used to seeing him and he could of been any husband. Not sure if that is because of his acting or if it was because the movie in a hole is not that complicated.

Wrongly locked up for a murder she did not commit Crowe plans the ultimate prison brake. Its not fabulous and the suspense factor is rather nil and void but it does have its moments. In saying that we have now watched it twice and I still do not remember a lot of it. We both love Liam Neeson and as he is in this movie we both thought he would have a stand out part but and only because I am looking at the DVD case did I even remember he was in it.

Leaves you thinking what would you do if you were in this situation. Most would probably seperate so its nice to see a husband standing by his wife. The heavy police force at the end was a little silly and pulled the intergrity of the whole movie down. But all and all the second time I enjoyed it for what it is.

I was excited about this movie, until i stuck it in the DVD player and hit play. It came across like another movie that I've seen although i cant place it.

I got confused a lot throughout the story as it was only meant to be a 72 hour period. I really liked the story but it jumped around a bit and came across more like a lot longer period.

I did enjoy the technical aspect of it and the attention to detail, not that I've looked at breaking someone out of jail. I wouldn't call this a thriller either, it's more of an action film.
