This publication is one with a difference. With both historical and contemporary works, this extended edition of Michael Morrissey's original collection includes stories from four exciting new writers - Victoria McHalick, William Brandt, Chad Taylor and Sarah Quigley - alongside well-loved classics. This publication is an invaluable resource for students of New Zealand literature and a treasured addition to the libraries and collections of all who enjoy New Zealand writing. |

With 25 authors in this dominating book, and a massive 46 stories bundled into the 515 pages of stories, this book is great value for money for sure! A huge variety of New Zealand authors and stories makes this well and truely far from boring. It is quite possible to sit and read all day without getting tired or hitting the 'same old same old' point. It is all too easy to lose yourself in this tome of cultural wonders. This being the extended edition, you have a lot to read, and it's all good. Overall, though I personally prefer hard Sci-Fi, even I found some real gems in here, making it well worth the effort. I am sure you will find something worthwhile in here too. |

Johnno being a history buff, it was great to read some of the older stories and compare them with modern styles, all in the one volume. a great buy, and one that hold a proud place on my sadly understocked bookshelves. good to see a new zealand site too, and great to see it supported by the publishing companies, it is about time we had a place like this covering such a wide range of topics. well done to all. keep it up. |
