Let's see, where do we begin... Why would anyone want this service... simple, because they can not afford to pay their phone bill, at around $50 per month plus tolls and extras. So we can safely assume the worst 'offenders' would the the toll-junkies... so the cure is, naturally, a toll-bar.

So, to have a basic phone service, with free local calling, access to emergency services, and the ever-handy toll-free 0800 numbers... you could expect a monthly bill of under $50 regular as clockwork. For the same services, these guys will charge you $84.00 per month, that's an extra$34 a month... so I still fail to see why anyone would choose this service... unless telecom had already blocked them off and blacklisted them... and having known someone who managed to run their bill up into the $1200+ range and still have a phone line... you'de have to be a total moron toll-junkie to get blacklisted by the corporate giant. In which case you should NEVER be allowed a phone anyway, you can't be responsible!

ReconX also offer extra services, the same as Telecom offer, at about twice the price... and you have to pre-pay it all! if you can afford that, why not just give Telecom a huge wad of cash, get your account back, and just pre-pay them and save yourself a lot of money.

Overall, though this service may be a great money-spinner for the company, and a saving grace to a minority of irresponsible consumers, it is an utter rip-off and waste of money to the rest of us. Don't waste your time, get a budget sorted out and stop ringing the 0900 numbers!
