Garlic is huge in this house. Basically everything we cook with has either Garlic or Onions. When I heard about Ma Prenzel's Garlic Infused Coarse Salt I knew we had to get. I purchased this in a garlic pack at a local show which came with Smoked Garlic Vinegar Sauce and Rice Bran Oil.

I made a Pork Belly a couple of weeks ago with just salt and you really could not taste it. So the next time I made it, I used the Garlic Infused Coarse Salt and it added a whole new level to the meat. When you get one in your mouth and you squish it between your teeth its like a taste explosion. The combination of salt and garlic is perfect.

I now find that I am sneaking it into most dishes like Mashed Potato or when frying an egg - you do not need a lot as a little goes a long way but when you do get one in your mouth you know its something special. It is like heaven on earth - just fantastic.

It comes in a container which you could transfer over to a salt expresser if you had one but I find seeing how much I am using is an added bonus. Previously when we have had sea salt it lasted for at least a year - but I can not see this lasting as long because it is so versatile.

If you love your spices and enjoy garlic and salt then this is a must in everyone's spice rack.

Product reviews for listing 377: Super Summer Spud Salad -  Created by The Phantom Gerbil

Product image for Super Summer Spud SaladTake a dozen small (about 4-6cm diameter) Gourmet Potatoes, wash and brush them, but do NOT peel them. (All the good stuff is in the skins.) Cut them into cubes about 1-1.5cm. Boil them gently in lightly-salted water until tender, but not squishy. You don't want a mashed salad.

While the spuds boil, grab some rashers of bacon, or if you don't have any handy (like me) use 3 or 4 slices of Ham & Chicken Luncheon, or shaved ham even. ... more...
