In the year 3028 the Drej, a vicious alien race, has destroyed Earth. Fifteen years later a young man named Cale learns he possesses a genetically encoded map to the Titan, a spaceship that holds the secret to the salvation of the human race.
With the Drej in hot pursuit, Cale blasts off with the new crew of the Valkyrie in an attempt to find the Titan before the Drej destroy it, and with it mankind's last chance for a home of their own. This movie was an awesome debut of a new range of technical skills in CGI movie creation. Despite a cast that includes some big names, I was frankly a little dubious about this one until I saw it.
I was blown away! This movie had me enthralled by the extremely high level of special effects and believable soundscape, however the believability of the storyline left a bit lacking.
I thought it a classic worth keeping, so it's part of my collection, but I wouldn't watch it more than once a month or so.

Jarrod and Elaine's trip to L.A. was supposed to be a fun weekend away to visit Jarrod's best friend, Terry. But when they are awakened by mysterious blue lights raining down over the city skyline, their weekend away quickly turns into a nightmare.
As day breaks, the full extent of the catastrophe becomes clear. Tankers, drones and hydra-like machines are invading the city. The human race faces annihilation as thousands of terrified people are sucked up into the alien ships.
Inescapable and seemingly indestructible, it will take every survival instinct they have to elude capture.
