The movie started off slow, it was obvious that the mom had died in the accident and we slowly learn more about the relationship between father and daughter, and it seems non existant, we learn that things didn't go well and her dad has regrets, but that is something that happens a lot. When she finds the goose eggs and shows her tender side was one of the best parts of the movie. I would watch this movie again, but would like to watch when the kids aren't watching and asking questions about what is happening and why is it happening while I am trying to watch the movie.

There were a few times that it looked like Amy and the geese weren't going to get there on time. I had a bit of a laugh when he said he could see some kind of air strip. The casting of the movie was good. The birds didn't steal the show with how cute they were.

The kids didn't really get into the story but I enjoyed it, there should be more movies like this 5 hat don't rely on sex or violence as part of the story. This is a great family movie that I would not hesitate to watch again when the kids are older and appreciate it.

This is another childhood favourite of mine, and still a movie that I like to watch now and again and reminisce. I watched it so many times as a child that there are still parts I can lip sync to.

Anna Paquin plays a young teenager living in New Zealand who ends up moving to live with her father after her mother dies in a car crash (I always got a buzz from her living in New Zealand first). Things don't go well at first, but she beings to come out of her shell after rescuing a family of geese, raising them from hatchlings. She and her dad then attempt to fly geese looking mini planes in order to them to the right place for winter.

Paquin does a wonderful job in her role here, and Daniels does a great job as the father who hasn't been there and is suddenly thrust into a full time parenting lifestyle. I love the geese, ranging from teeny tiny babies to full grown adolescents. There is plenty here to have you cheering for this family, crossing fingers that they make it, and tears when there are fears about making it etc.

I really do still enjoy this movie and my children enjoy it as well.
