The Logitech Force 3D Pro is a good all-around stick.

An improved Force Feedback mechanism responds more realistically to games that support force feedback, and provides great control even in those that don't. The programmable buttons, precision throttle, 8-way rubber hat switch and twist handle really do give you all the toys you need to kick in-game butt. Force feedback is a feature that your standard joystick isn't likely to have, and although it might make flying a little harder at times, it goes a long way to make your gaming experience a more realistic and therefore immersive one. When gunfire from another plane hits you, you feel the joystick shake and fight you as you struggle to control the damaged aircraft.

The profiler software is one of the very bright spots of this review. It does not require you to rifle through old key maps or try to guess key combinations for the game you just want to play. With games as complex as these modern flight simulators, it can be quite trying to recall all the keys you'll need to fly your aircraft. Having a command reference built into the joystick software is an excellent idea. After all, who wants to spend all their time setting up the joystick? Just help me get to the game as fast as I can!

Although the Joystick layout is excellent it is only for right handed people, also it has a rather large base (but clear some space its well worth it).
Force feedback is an excellent feature. Although force feedback support seemed rather scarce, I'm sure more games in the future will have more support.

The Logitech Force 3D Pro Joystick is a solid product. For $159.95 the joystick is a good value compared to other high-end force feedback joysticks. It delivers on all the expected features of a joystick in this price range. While it may be a bit expensive for the casual gamer, if you are serious about flight simulators you can't go wrong with the Logitech Force 3D Pro.
