Never Let You Go product reviews

Love is holding on tight and knowing when to let go.
An adorable little penguin learns that mum and dad 'will never let you go' ... except when it is time to let you go!
Safely assured, little penguin can begin to explore its world bit by bit - draw a picture, chase the stars, even throw a tantrum - secure in the knowledge that a doting parent is waiting int he wings.
Never Let You Go gives a great warm hug, followed by an encouraging pat as it sets up young children to take big steps on the path to growing up.

Never Let You Go is a very sweet story about the love of a parent for a child. There is nothing that hints at whether the penguins are male or female. When I suggested one gender my girls (3.5 and 5 years) thought the opposite. This means that the child can make young penguin represent them and the adult penguin the adult they rely on. This is perfect for solo parents, foster parents or nuclear families.

My youngest enjoyed the story more than her sister. Her favourite part was when the parent let the little one go to go to the bathroom. She always added "So you don't get weed on." It is a very simple, one sentence a page format. It is targeted at two and three year olds.

As a parent it was a story about love for your child but also the struggle of letting the go so they can grow up. It is also a lovely way of telling your child you will always be there for them when they need you. It reminds me that they grow so fast and before I know it they will be adults.

The illustrations are simple bold characters on a plain background. This is perfect for the littlies too. I would not be surprised to see this story come out in a board book format. It is the ideal story for it. It is safe to say it is Miss 3.5s favourite book at the moment especially as she loves penguins.

Never Let You Go caught my eye right away with the simple yet delightful book cover. The lovely purple penguins on a nice blue background sets the scene nice and easily for this book.

"I Love You Little One And I Will Never Let You Go" except of course when it is necessary and it is time for your little one to start learning about themselves and the world around them. Each double page has a line or two of story and then a picture that suits the writing. I could fully relate to some of the moments, such as "I will never let you go unless you need to go to the bathroom" and how even though my child will grow and learn, my heart will never let them go.

I love the illustrations in this book, especially the drawings of the young penguin and the double page spread of the parent and child watching the stars, gorgeous. I also like that it isn't gender specific, so it could be a mum or a dad, a son or a daughter, I really like that, means it is good for any family.

This is a really sweet little book, a great bedtime story to tell your kids that you will never let them go.

Product reviews for listing 1236: Black Cats and April Fools. -  Written by Harry Oliver

Product image for Black Cats and April Fools.April Fools' Day:

Many of us play pranks and jokes on each other on the 1st April each year, but why? The idea came to Britain from France after 1 January was chosen by the French to replace 25 March as the first day of the year. Before this, it was customary for folks to give each other presents to celebrate the first day of the new year. The problem was that the old date of 25 March very often fell during holy week and, accordingly, ... more...
