Store: Hamilton

PLEASE BE CAREFUL PURCHASING VACUUM BAGS FROM GODFREYS. I purchased a Miele C3 equivalent vacuum cleaner some time ago and went to purchase replacement bags. I was sold a pack of HyClean Miele bags that were not specifically for the Miele C3 and was assured they would fit my cleaner. WELL, THEY DO NOT! I went back to them and asked for the Miele C3 bags and they tried to sell me the same bags I had purchased last time. Again they assured me they would fit. I told them they did not fit. The salesman was not interested. This was at Godfreys, Tristram St, Hamilton. Last time I go there.

Using the wrong bags resulted in my Miele motor becoming damaged. Upon opening the area where the bag was contained, none of the dust was getting into the bag, it had all become lodged outside the bag filling my cleaner with dust. Needless to say, I was NOT A HAPPY CAMPER Sad Icon I love my Miele, it is a great machine, works so well, never had a problem till now, and would be seriously grumpy if my machine failed due to the wrong bags.

The MieleC3 or Miele S8130 must use the correct bags or the machine will be ruined.

Store: Manukau

Went into Godfreys looking for a new vacuum as i was getting annoyed with my old vacuum. We were greeted as soon as we entered the store by a happy helpful salesperson.

He was very good asking questions like, do you have pets?, do you have allergies? and so on and answering these questions he was able to point us in a direction of a machine that will do what we need in our household. He also explained to us about the machine we already had and what sort of cleaning that does which turned out if is just a surface cleaner and he recommended a deep cleaner since we have a cat and allergies (asthma) in the household.

The salesperson was very good at describing the machine that will work well for us, and spoke to us about everything it does, and what features it has. He gave us all the details on payment plans, warranties and servicing of the machine. When we told him we had to leave to take our son to rugby he said no worries here is my card with his name and numbers on it.

We went back into the store later on in the day about 6 hours later and was greeted by another person again respectfully. We asked him for the guy we were dealing with and he rang him for us to let him know we were there. he couldnt get hold of the guy we wanted and offered to finish the sale with us but with respect when we told him we would wait he didnt push us to finish the sale and let us wait for the guy we were already dealing with.

Once again greeted by this guy and then when we asked him about something down in price from what we were looking at he showed us something $400 cheaper but wasnt going to give us the clean we needed. We also spoke to him about trading in our machine and if we could get more for our old one and was told not really but instead of the trade in he could give us a steam mop worth $200 instead, we chose the steam mop deal. He finished the deal with us and closed everything.

He also went as far as printing off my receipt in paper as that doesnt fade over time, he also printed my old receipt and warranty for my old machine as i brought it from the same store. He also said he would clean up my old machine and give it a good service so its good to sell. This is great service from this company and im very happy i went back there and will go back there again.

Thank you Godfreys, you're wonderful.
