Goblins Vs Dwarves product reviews

An army of short, fat, hairy dwarves is tunnelling into goblin territory. They are digging under Clovenstone castle to steal its precious treasure.

Goblins love fighting, but Skarper and Henwyn's rowdy tribe is no match for the giant armoured moles of the enemy. They must seek the help of heroes, trolls and ghosts for a battle that will decide the fate of the goblins forever.

The first thing that you will notice about this book is that the cover and outside of the pages is dyed bright blood-red. Then when I first started reading this book I was beginning to get bored when the book exploded with excitement and suddenly I couldn't put it down! This book's plot is much simpler than the book before it but that doesn't make any worse! The book really comes to life at the middle and end during the battles against dwarves and goblins. I like the way the author has woven the plot together to make a delicious story that will satisfy for all ages.

The way that things just get worse and worse in the story is captivating because it makes you want to keep reading it because you want to find out what happens. The story is very interesting because of the fascination of these "creatures out of children's stories". I love the humor and sharp wit that is particularly obvious during the middle of the book before the battles.

During the end the book is at its best what with the (less prevailing but present) humor, the battle and the brilliant and rather unexpected end. I like the way the author has made almost all the creatures in the first book present in this one way or another, like how the boglins (which is a anagram of goblin) return to help the goblins in battle and how Fraddon the giant plays and important part in this story.

The characters has almost the same personalities from the previous book except that they are in a different situation and with different enemies. The new characters that are introduced are just as effective as the old ones often bringing with them lots more fun and humor.

The ending is rather sad and is linked with a vision that Henwyn say at Coriander. I hope to see what the intriguing message at the back of the book means "The goblins will be back" and I can't wait to see what happens next...
