The Infinity Ring - 2 - Divide and Conquer product reviews

Hundreds of ships carrying thousands of Viking warriors are attacking medieval Paris. The Parisians are fighting back, but they can only hold out for so long. And that's bad news - especially since Dak has been captured and forced to work with the invading army while Sera and Riq defend Paris from within. No matter which side wins, the kids will lose... unless Dak can find an ally among some of history's fiercest warriors. Join Dak, Riq, and Sera as they attempt to defeat the SQ and fix the next Great Break in history.

Each book comes packaged with a full-color, two-sided, collectible Hystorian's Guide, a player's strategy guide to the online adventure.

Follow the map, study the Guide, and save history!

This book was an awesome read and I couldn't help but read it a few times more, then more and then more! The book is much more action packed and I noticed that it was more adventurous then the first book. The on-line episodes however don't work on my computer although I think it may be the computer rather than the actual game. The cover is really detailed and was very catchy. The map gave me lots of information about the time era in which the next episode (which I have not played yet) is set in. The game sounds very fun but it won't work on it.

Book 1 wasn't as action-packed as this and I loved the way that this book had lots of danger in it as it draws me in. I don't recommend anyone under 10 to read this book as the book has a bit more danger and blood in it than the last edition of Infinity Ring. The images you may get from reading this is also why under 10's shouldn't really read this book.

The price was amazing and it would be totally worth buying it as it is great value for great reading. The detail given in this book is incredible and can create a vivid picture out of words. The story moves at a fast pace and the plot is very clear and not broken which I particularly enjoyed. The characters are as funny as ever and the personalities have remained the same as in book 1 and I think that the authors of the different books must have worked hard to ensure that the characters personalities remained the same during the series. Overall I think that it was a brilliant book and is a must for any 39 clues fan.

Okay, I will cut straight to the point: The book was awesome, and it was much more adventurous than book 1, but - I don't know whether it is my computer or not - I cannot play the online mission as my computer crashes before I can take a few steps in the game. I liked the cover, at first site I thought that the great break was in china because of the phrase "Divide and Conquer" which I have mainly heard about in a movie or book based in china.

I found that book 1 was actually quite tame compared to this one, there was much more action, danger, and excitement in it, so I think that only kids older than 11 years of age should be reading it, as the mental images that this book causes may seem okay to older kids, but to younger audiences it might seem a tiny bit disturbing.

I would say that the game is great if I had the chance to play it all, but I hate the fact that the game keeps causing my computer to crash, I managed to complete the first 2 stages, which weren't all that exciting, but as soon as I take about 5 steps in stage 3, first the computer freezes and I can't click anything, then the mouse doesn't do anything, and I don't know what happens after that as by that point I reboot the computer, so warning, you may get the same or similar thing when you play it or not, as I don't know whether it is the computer or the game, but just a word of caution.

As usual, the detail of the text is astounding, it makes a clear mental movie of the plot, and it is this factor that I always love, Dak, Sera and Riq were funny as usual, and I was very fond of the new characters. As the story was set in medieval Paris, I kept thinking that it was the Paris we see today, so it was a bit difficult to picture the exact look of the city, but I still managed to enjoy reading.

The price is great, it fits the bill nicely, so I am very impressed with that aspect. If it weren't for the fact that I am getting a constant flow of review books I would have re-read this book, but I think that when the Christmas break comes I might read this one again. All in all, I love this story, great cover, great price, uncertainty on the game, and a kick-ass plot. Have fun reading!
