A Chair for Always product reviews

Our chair is a very lucky chair. It used to be a chair for my mother. Now it is a chair for me and my friends and for my new cousin Benji. And for you.

This is a hardcover book, which is great for durability. The story is a decent length, Just right for a bed time story in fact. The illustrations are very pretty. All the pages look like they have been painted with water colours. The illustrations are very well done and look very detailed for a children's book.

The story is about Rosa and her mother who are living with Rosa's grandmother as their house burnt down in a fire. Rosa and her Mum saved all their pennies until they could buy a chair. This chair became a comfort to Rosa and her Mum. Even once it became to look a little shabby Rosa would not let her mother re-cover it or buy a new one. This was now a chair for Rosa and her friends. And of course in the story Rosa gets a new cousin, Benji. The birth of Benji is also in the story, and how Rosa helps her mother sometimes in the Blue Diner where she works.

My daughter really enjoyed this book, and it also helped to explain what happens when a new baby comes in to the family.
