My son likes Coca-Cola, but I am trying to keep his 'portions' small to avoid dental and digestional problems, nor have him bouncing around like a rubber ball on steroids from caffeine and sugar highs. So I needed a reasonably accurate portion controller, but let's face it, nip-pours with screw fittings to match P.E.T. bottles are not easy to find.

So when I discovered that putting one of these dinky twist-caps on the coke bottle, and poured in a steady tilt, it gave a reasonably consistant amount of fluid each time. Most handy! For constant stream, you simply squeeze the bottle, and pop it back out after you finish.

It takes a mere 180 degrees of turn to go from fully closed to fully open, unlike a full 3 turns (720 degrees) of a standard threaded lid. This also means you can depressurise a bottle fast, preventing the majority of foaming, but can be resealed almost instantly if it does foam.

Overall, this is a nifty gizmo to have a few spare of, and for those of us who like regular, quick slurps straight from the bottle (and let's face it, if you're the only one drinking it, why not.) it's a very handy replacement for the standard lid.

Product reviews for listing 1046: Kumara Rosti
Produced by Kauri Coast Kumara

Product image for Kumara RostiThe Kauri Coast Kumara Rosti is a favourite among children and adults alike.

This recipe originated from the Swiss who traditionally served the shredded kumara delight with a grated cheese topping. The Kauri Coast Kumara Rosti is famous for its tantalizing onion flavour which makes you want to go back for more.

Te Kumara Rosti is great to have on hand for those summer barbecues or served as a base for a vegetarian stack.
