I have lots of fond memories from my childhood of Buzzy Bee and his friends as pull along toys. My grandmother has also kept the wooden toys my mother and her sisters played with so we had these to play with when we visited. Buzzy Bee is true Kiwiana.

I first discovered Buzzy Bee and Friends on Kidzone when my children were very young. From the age of twelve to twenty-four months this was one of their favourite shows. The bright colours and bold characters really appealed to them. They also had a couple of the toys. What kid wouldn't like a programme about some of their favourite toys?

As a parent I loved that it had some wholesome messages about valuing yourself for who you are, co-operation, giving things a try and more. It wasn't very exciting for adults to watch but remembering it is not made to entertain us I believe it is great for the kids. It was a great show for the kids to watch when I needed a few minutes to get something done. I knew I was safe viewing that they would love.

OMG watching this makes me feel old. If I look in my treasure box at my mums, I could probably lay my hands on a buzzy bee and Mary Lou doll. Only my Mary Lou doll was red.

It is great to see a child's program that promotes helping others, sharing and doesn't have violence all through it. It uses classic characters from our childhood and is the kind of thing that you really want to pass onto your children and grandchildren. Although I don't know any of the voices on the program, I am more than happy with the way they speak and the language that they use.

There are thirteen stories on this dvd and each one is of a length that the child doesn't get bored and get into mischief. You have the option on the dvd to play all the stories (65 minutes approx) or select which story you want to watch (5 minutes approx).

My only concern with this dvd is that I find myself singing the theme song which is quite a catchy one. I would be more than happy to let any pre-schooler in my care watch this without worrying about what they are going to do next.

Its funny and pretty cool.

I liked the singing the most and when it rained.

I didn't like it when they didn't play.

I like the buzzy bee the most because he is so colourful.
