Never really had much use for 3d-oriented applications... too many dimensions for print, not enough for the way I think... it's a bit of a 'grey zone' for me. however, after being introduced to some nifty little tools that helped me get a grasp on things, in preparation for making some interactive elements for a DVD presentation that utilises Adobe After Effects and Adobe Encore. So to be able to create multifunctional printable documents that retain interactive elements while in digital format was a great bonus.

I was thus able to create documents that could be email'd to prospective clients that illustrated the interactive nature of the DVD, while also allowing them to print off versions to suit their needs, without having to customise the file to each of them. This meant that a single file could be created that not only gave each potential client the information specific to them, but also an idea of how the same product could be applied across a range of other applications that might be of interest to them.

Overall, though it took QUITE some getting used to, it proved itself to be a very powerful tool for those in the media industry, and especially those in the multimedia industry. If this holds any interest for you, you would be well advised to trial this application, with a view to purchasing it once it has proven it's worth to you. An excellent addition to the Adobe product clan... which is missing only one thing... a good integrated 3d application.
