A FLAVORFUL DICE GAME
Everyone has a green thumb when playing Herbaceous Sprouts. Unwind while enjoying this beautiful and thoughtful game of collecting seeds, using tools, and growing sprouts in the community garden. Gather your seeds and tools from the shed, but don't take too long or your friend might become the Head Gardener first.

OBJECTIVE
Become the Head Gardener by collecting herb and flower seeds and using your garden tools to plant in the community garden and scoring the most points. Each round, gardeners take turns collecting herb and flower seeds (represented by dice) which they place and save in their wheelbarrow, as well as tools (represented by cards) which they use to plant sprouts. Players can plant quickly for low point spots, or push their luck saving their seeds for premier spots in the garden.

GAMEPLAY
Herbaceous Sprouts is played over a series of rounds, each with a different Lead Gardener. When the last Tool Cards are used, the game ends the final score is tallied.

In Herbaceous Sprouts you get to play gardener without having to get your hands dirty (I hate dirt under my nails! but love plants...). Each round sees you lay out one card per player plus one extra and then grab dice at random which you then roll and place on any cards that have an indicated spot for them. Each player then takes turns selecting the card and dice they want. The dice go on their personal wheelbarrow (which can hold up to seven dice) and the card is set to the side until the player chooses to use it (some give you rerolls, a trowel or a bonus seed). All of which can help you become the best gardener.

On your turn, you can place seeds if you meet the areas requirements. In one section, all seeds used must be the same, in another all different, in another pairs and in the final, flowers only. Flowers only need one seed but must also have a trowel that you can discard. As for the seeds, the more you can do, the more points you can earn, but be careful as once the plot has been filled, it cannot have a second seed in it. Once all players have finished the remaining card will list a plot on the board that you must now fill with weeds and is then discarded. Once the cards have run out, game over. The thing I like about this game is how simple it is and it is hugely based on luck but I don't mind that at all. It is a great little time filler, when you have twenty minutes or so to fill.
