I have enjoyed a number of RJs products already and was keen to try these ones. The description sounded like a lovely treat. Our family enjoy sweet treats every so often but not regularly so like high quality when we do decide to have a treat. These were a good mix of texture and taste. I liked the texture and wonder how it would be to chill them down (they didn't last long enough to try this). The combination of chewy red licorice like outside (reminds me of the raspberry chocolate logs a bit but nowhere do they say "red licorice" so guessing it is not). The sherbet filling is pretty sweet but a lovely texture compared to other sweet fillings which I find super sweet so another win there.

We did have a bit of a "stick together" issue but this may have been the storing (it was reasonably warm and I stuck stuff on top - this may well have been my doing). I would probably not buy these regularly as they were pretty sweet and quite repetitive in taste and two is definitely enough for me, I think I like more mixed product. I think this would be good as a combo with the green apple variety or if you had a large group visiting. They look to be aimed more at kids and the name fabulicious definitely hints at that. I prefer the more sour flavours that RJs produce.

The clearly natural flavourings and high quality was great and I didn't feel anything artificial about the experience even if the marketing was a bit cheesy. As always RJs have produced a high quality product but perhaps not my personal taste. I would be careful about where you store these but otherwise it was a great success if you have a group coming to visit.

I love RJ's lollies and the Fabulicious Sherbet Fizz have been one of my favourite. Anything with sherbet in that makes my mouth tingle is a winner! They come in an attractive purple plastic bag that has a window at the bottom so you can see exactly what you are buying. Each lolly consists of a red licorice roll approximately 2.5 cm long with a white sherbet centre. I think my packet may have been left out in the heat because some of the white centre had seeped out of the end and some look like they were a little squashed and not perfectly cylindrical - however, this is no one affected the flavour. The chew is typical of RJ's yumminess with a lovely sweet raspberry flavour. The white sherbet is sweet and fizzy and seems to be a little fizzier than the last time I tried them. My favourite way to eat them was to nibble a long piece of the raspberry chew and then put the rest in my mouth, licking the sherbet fizz - delicious!

Needless to say both my children loved these and they said that the sherbet fizz helped to bring out the flavour. It was sweet, chewy, and a great summer snack. The bonus of course is that these lollies are Palm Oil Free which is great for the environment. These are delicious snacks with a good amount of lollies in each packet. If you wanted to, you could always cut them in half for the kids to make them last longer (just not for the adults!) A great price for a great lolly.

When it comes to RJs filled sweets I am easily tempted into getting them as I do consider them one of my favorite lollies and I don't really have a sweet tooth they just are bursting with delicious flavor and I really like the chewy outer roll and the soft center consistency and when it comes to the Fabulicious Sherbert Fizz ones they are very much the same but the fizzy center ups the ante to the next level. This is a 200g packet that has roughly 30 sweets in it. They are rolls that have a 1cm diameter and are about 2 and a half centimeters long and are made up of a chewy raspberry shell and a fizzy sherbert center that taste like lemonade.

They are proudly New Zealand made and are Palm oil-free which is fantastic. My children absolutely love these and they have fun squeezing out the fizzy center, eating the outer shell, and then eating the sherbert fizz last and playing who can keep a straight face while dealing with the sourness of the fizzy center. At the cost of $3.00 for a 200g bag, it is a great value for money and a very welcome product in our pantry at home, I just have to make sure they are stashed up high or hidden so the kids don't try to sneak them.

You can almost always tell an RJs product as its packing is even bursting with character with its fun colors and designs which I'm sure is no mistake to draw in the attention for people to purchase. RJs have a very large range of products and they have proven time and time again that they make quality products that taste delicious at affordable prices and this Fabulicious Sherbert Fizz is just another example of this. I will Be getting more of these again without a doubt.

These Sherbet Fizz lollies used to be a firm favourite treat of mine, when they first came out, with my happily buying them to indulge in, then the recipe seemed to change and they no longer appealed to me, leaving an odd aftertaste in my mouth. Upon hearing that RJ’s have switched to being palm oil free, I figured it was a good time to try these sweets again and see if they were something that I could enjoy again. My three kids were are eager to give these a go, with my 10 year old asking for these as their dessert the very night we got them. Three eager hands reached out to ensure that they all got to give these a try. My 0 year old decided these needed a good smelling test and said that they smelled very nice, just like berries.

All three ate their pieces with gusto and promptly asked for more, they were all in agreeable that the Sherbet Fizz lollies taste nice and have a good mix of very sweet, a little fizz and a little sour. They are all very certain that it is something that we simply must buy again in the future with one asking if they could have a bag of their own for Christmas. The big test was how they would taste to me. I gave one a try and enjoyed the taste, though not as much as I had hoped that I would. I tried a couple more to be sure and found that whilst the taste was far better than the last time I had tried some, there was still a slight taste to it that I didn’t enjoy. I wouldn’t be ina rush to eat these again, when I inevitably buy a packet for the kids, I will no doubt have one or two, but the days of buying these just for myself are gone.

I love the packaging used for this product. There is a clear window which allows you to see the contents, and the cover design features a number of bubbles so it appears that the sweets inside are all fizzing. A great image for a product that contains sherbet and one which is bound to appeal to children. We had several packets of sweets to review but Mr Nine was anxious to start with this one - he enjoys most sweets but is especially keen on anything with sherbet in.

I passed the packet round and the children all helped themselves to a couple. One to eat and one to dissect before eating. This always happens when we have any kind of layered food; they love to see what is inside, and whether the separate components are going to taste different from the intact item. I waited to try mine because I wanted to get their reactions. Miss Nine immediately gave me the thumbs up; she declared them utterly delicious, both separated and as a complete roll. Mr 11 was a little more thorough. He chewed the entire sweet slowly, then just as slowly he peeled the outer section from the sherbet filling and tasted each part on its own. Only then did he deliver his verdict: Scrumptious! And he added that he could taste raspberry in the outer section.

The other two children, their cousins, also loved them. Mr 12 said he would buy them any time; Mr 13 said he agreed with everyone, and asked if he could have another. I then offered them to the adults present. They were unanimous; everyone really liked them and asked if they could have a second round. Luckily, there was more than enough in the packet for everyone to have more. My daughter did say that she would use them as a special occasion treat because of the high sugar content, and the danger that the children might be tempted to overindulge. I would agree with that. When I finally got to taste a couple myself, I understood why everybody liked them. The combination of sweet and sour was perfect, and, as Mr 11 had said, you could really taste the raspberry flavour.

Miss Nine suggested that she could have some for her tenth birthday party early in 2022. She thought they would be nice cut in half and mixed with fresh berries on a plate. As a budding cook, she is constantly looking for new ways of presenting food - she has an eye for colour and a good sense of suitable flavour combinations. I am looking forward to that party, assuming I will be invited!
