My eldest saw this on the shelf of a bookstore a few years ago, and promptly decided to buy it for his Granny for her birthday as he loved the knitting grannies on the front cover, fighting each other. I did offer to pay for it but he was determined, and so we grabbed a copy and passed it to Granny on her birthday. The box flips open, magnets keep it shut and the box is nice and sturdy (we've had it for at least five years now, and it is still going strong. There are some spare, blank cards in the box, which you can customize with your own score, description and picture. We haven't utilized this yet, but that's more because no one can agree on what we should put.

The game is simple enough, you will use granny cards to create one pile per player, plus one decoy pile. Your aim is then to get the most points on your granny, by the end of the game. The tricky part is making sure that you don't favouritize your granny, otherwise your opponents will know which pile to aim the negative cards on. The game ends when all players have used up their cards, so some people may play a little longer. There is also the added rule that you can 'bounce' a card, so if you place a -3 on a +3, you can bounce the +3 onto another pile. Once the game is done, the granny with the most points reigns supreme.

This has ended up being a fun little game, of course, when the kids were younger they didn't quite get the idea of making sure players didn't know which was their granny, but now that they are older they understand the strategy more and the game is still just as fun.
