Dora the Explorer Press-o-Matic - this is a brilliant game, I grew up with the game of 'trouble' which has now been adapted so that it appeals to the younger members of the family. We have had our Dora the Explorer Press-o-Matic for a few years now, and it has survived the test of time.

Our children are quite spread in age, and this is one of those games that they can all play together and enjoy their game, as it's not reliant on the skill level of the player - it's more of a game of chance that keeps everyone on their toes. One of the other assets of this game is that it seems to go for just the right length of time, not too long that the children get bored with it, and not to short that it's not really worth getting out.

The bright coloured tokens are attractive, and of course the Dora theme means that our smaller people are really keen to play. I highly recommend this game to all; it's a fabulous present for the child you just don't know what to purchase or for a family to invest in for many fun times.

Ludo, a wonderful and fun family game for all. Available in almost any characters your children desire, and for my little girl initially it was Dora. Be aware though that if your children are anything like mine, she will want Tinkerbell ludo soon after ^:)

The principle of the game is the same as the original ludo. You have four pieces in your corner and you need to get them all around the board and to the finish line. You do not shake the dice, you press the 'press-o-matic' button in the middle of the board, which in turn shakes the dice for you.

Nice bright colours with your kids favorite characters. Recommended for ages 4+ but with parent supervision I think 3 year olds would be able to join in with the family and play this one too.

Also a fantastic gift at a great price too.

This is a simple and fun game for all the family. Based on the popular character Dora Explorer, this is a remake of a classic boardgame played by many of us as children. I love the simplicity of this game and the fact that you cant lose the dice. This has long been a favourite rainy day activity to play with the younger children in our house. The easy to move colored counters are great for small fingers and you have the added bonus of teaching little ones to count. A great family favourite and a game that will be enjoyed for many years.

This was, even for an old lad like me, still a lot of fun to play... harkening back to simpler days, when 'a good night' was sitting at home with family, playing a card or boardgame together... not staring blankly at a TV screen, or out at the pub getting rat-faced. This is a game for the family that has young kids...

My son and I whiled away a good 3 hours in a single afternoon playing this game... I recall playing it in my youth, and so it was wonderful to share this classic game with another subsequent generation. Simple and easy to use, the Press-o-Matic dice unit ensures that no matter what level of dexterity the player has, the die will always be rolled, and will always remain visible... so no more crawling around on hands and knees under the table trying to find it.

Overall, a wonderful game that has stood the test of time, with a 'skin' that appeals to the youngest family members, giving them something to relate to and thus increasing their enjoyment. The basic strategy of the game will challenge them, helping to expand their minds beyond "here/now/me" . The price is very reasonable for what you get. One little thing to watch out for... coloured pegs sitting in the Home Line positions nearest the Press-o-Matic have a tendancy to leap out on a 'roll' if you play on a non-solid or unstable surface, such as a bed or lap. Keep that in mind, as I managed to lose a red peg on the very first game, and so are limited to 3 players at present.
