I have tried various oil diffusers in the past, don't like the ones with candles so kind of gave up on the idea until I saw this one and thought this could well be worth trying. I opened up the box and first thing I did was read the instructions and got more and more confused and annoyed, it was rather obvious that the instructions were written by a non English speaking person and that they had used Google translate as the instructions made no sense at all. I pushed what I thought was the 3 hour setting to find out after reading Karl's review that I had selected lights and that the mist button was in fact the other button (no I couldn't see the words on the buttons as they were very slight and incredibly hard to see, I even asked my kids to have a look and they couldn't see it but I did see it in the morning light after a good nights sleep). I wouldn't bother reading the instructions as Karl's review told me all I needed to know and how to select one colour light or let it go through all the colours.

Once I had realised how to select mist I sure could see the mist and the difference was amazing. I could sit for hours watching the mist as I found it really relaxing. I also discovered that I could use the lights without the mist and yes the mist without the lights. It is so easy to use once you have tried it and you can't really go wrong as there are only two buttons. My mum did say she would prefer a separate off button but I can understand how to select the off function. I tried all settings just to see how it would work.

My kids were impressed with how easy it was to use and they have asked for one in their rooms. I'm happy to keep using it as I have found some great smelling oils and have realised how to set the mist going and it is great that it auto stops when the water gets low.

My suggestions would be to make the words stand out more on the buttons as not everyone has perfect vision and to rewrite the instruction manual so it is a lot more user friendly but it did give the family heaps of laughs as we were trying to understand what the writer was trying to say (warm detergent?). Overall a great unit once you throw out the instructions and experiment with the different settings.

Tucker   Review #20458 - Dated: 5th of March, 2019

I have had an oil-burner in my office for so long I can't actually remember when I got my first one. I don't always use it - sometimes it can sit in the back corner buried behind boxes of review stuff for months before I find it, dust it off and light it again, but there is always one in the office. Today, I think I may have found my new favourite.

Though this unit requires a power feed - it's not driven by a chemical reaction or thermal convection, but by vibrational physics - it has a very fun feature that instantly impressed me... the colour-changing LEDs. Perfect for giving you utter flexibility over decor and mood matching. Throwing a party? Set it to the warmer colours to help keep the room's mood high. Overheating in the mugginess? Set it to a blue or green to give you a mental feeling of comfort and coolness. Want to 'set the mood' for a quiet night of 1-on-1 with a loved one? Try the oranges or yellows to give that cosy fireside atmos. All the while, quietly humming away at 2.4GHz misting your favourite scent into the room.

Setup couldn't be simpler - put it down, plug it in, pour in some water - and your scent of choice - and press MIST. One press turns it on and sets it to run for an hour then turn off. A second press sets it to 3 hours, a third press gives you 6 hours, and a fourth press sets it to "stay on until I decide otherwise, or you run out of water". Similar deal with the lights - first press turns them on in 'colour cycle' mode, and each subsequent press cycles it to the next colour to sit and stay on. Each colour is paired, bright, dim... so you get to red, press to do to dim red, press to go to orange, press again to get dim orange, etc. 2 minutes of experimenting and you'll understand it easily - easier than me trying to put it into words actually. If you want the lights off, press-and-hold for 2-3 seconds and they will simply shut off.

I poured 150ml of water into this unit and let it run... Nearly 3 hours later there was still water in the bowl! I can't tell you exactly how much, because when I tried to decant it to measure, the office cat decided he needs pats right away and jostled me enough I spilt most of it, but there wasn't a lot, so I think it fair to say leaving it to run for 6 hours on a full 300ml of water should pan out right.

I got the 'Dark Wood' finish on my review unit, and I would have to say I am really pleased. It fits perfectly with the bookshelf and wall unit in the main room, where most of the casual meetings end up, so it's perfectly placed there. I would have liked to have seen a black power cable for this unit though, as it would have been more discrete. Still, it wasn't too hard to arrange things to provide plenty of visual camo so it wasn't obvious at a passing glance.

Would I buy another one? Quite possibly actually - I was quite taken by the look and style of it, and was impressed by how much visible vapour it was putting out. Knowing that the vapour was nothing more than tap water and a bit of smellies gave me real peace of mind - it opens up so many possibilities. NO CHEMICALS! I couldn't resist and had to take it out to my back yard tonight to have a play with it photographically... and I love the first-draft results. It's like it was designed to be a prop in a DIY sci-fi movie!
