So... dice bags. Pretty much a staple for every RPG gamer out there, but also for other games such as Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, and anything that would require dice and/or small counters. Got to have a stash-bag to hold them all between gaming sessions, right? So if you are going to have a bag, why not make it one with some style and WOW factor...

On the back of her amazing, and very popular [link^7526^Bagthulhu dice bag^link], Bridget from Wayward Masquerade has brought us this delightful cutie to consider. Available in a range of colour schemes, these Dragon Bagons hold at least 100 dice - I managed to fit 127 into mine but many were smaller than standard size - and the neck is draw-string closed as well. I found the string did slip a little when the bag was topped up full, so a loose single hitch knot or a single-loop bow did the trick to keep it sealed tight in transit... and it certainly turned a few heads and started many conversations when I brought it out and sat "Red" on the table.

While the current stocks are hand-made, there is a Kickstarter campaign in place at the moment to get a bulk-production run sorted out, but why wait?! The price - around the $50 mark - is very reasonable for something this awesome and handcrafted right here in NZ to boot! Made from polarfleece, they are super comfortable to hold and carry, even when bloated with dice, and the fabric is quite durable. What's more, it's clear that attention to detail and a solid understanding of durability has been applied, because the seams are solid and tidy too.

I know the design has undergone a number of revisions over time - browsing back through the Facebook page will reveal the huge amount of thought and feedback that went into the revisions - and this is just the surface indication of the passion that has been sewn into every one of these adorable little dice-horders. While the red/black combo is stunning, there's a far wider range of colour combinations available and you need only ask and your preferences will be addressed in short order.

Overall, this is now my prized gaming possession - ranking above my mint copy of the Firefly board game signed by Sean Maher himself. What can I say, I love dragons, and this is by far the cutest AND most practical dragon in my collection... and I do so love practical things that have non-practical appeal as well. I fully plan to buy another one of these later on, when my budget has recovered from car repairs, in a stunning teal and purple design to combine my two favourite colours. Worth every cent of the pricetag... and likely even more, to those who grow to love them.
