Oh Squiggles biscuits, where do I start. Let's just get done to the core of my opinion here and say these are absolutely addicting. I have bought these multiple times and tend to stock up on these when they are on sale because they make my taste buds incredibly happy. I have, to the detriment of my waist line, eaten an entire package in one sitting because they are just that good. I definitely recommend portioning out one for yourself and then locking them in a cupboard if you are anything like me.

Hokey Pokey is a New Zealand favourite and the combination of Hokey Pokey with biscuit, milk chocolate creme and chocolate, and the squiggles on top is not quite genius designation but close to it. They also look appealing with the squiggles and now that I think of it would probably taste great frozen as well. What I also look out for is that the ingredients do not have palm oil so that also makes it a winner. The only bad side of these that I can honestly come up with is that they tend to be gone too quickly in my household and since they are in fact a biscuit, are not healthy (which is expected of course).

If you haven't tried these biscuits yet you need to do your taste buds a good turn and wrap your laughing gear around one of these bad-boys (or in my case a lot more than one). Griffins have mastered the art of making biscuits and the squiggle is a tribute to there skills. I am a big fan of anything hokey pokey but these go a step further and have teamed up with chocolate and biscuit to create a munchies master piece. The packet itself looks good enough to eat.

Combo a squiggles biscuit - who am I kidding a packet of squiggles - and a good cuppa tea and you will understand what I'm telling you. the one problem with these biscuits is it tests your ability to not over indulge and to try and spread the joy over the course of the week, that's providing the kids don't find them first.. these biscuits definitely belong on the every now and then shopping list if you don't have the will power to hold back, and if you over do it your body will definitely let you know you have been bad to it. I don't make a habit of buying these for that reason and they are up the higher end of the price bracket compared to other types/brands available and believe me if the kids get to them first its all over in less than minute. but if you haven't tried them yet your just not living.

I'm a huge fan of Griffin's biscuits and always choose them over any other brand. When it comes to chocolate biscuits one of my favourites are squiggles, which consist of a yummy crunchy biscuit topped with a creamy hokey pokey filling, which is then sprinkled with little hokey pokey nuggets and them smothered with milk chocolate and some yellow squiggles to top it all off, it's like heaven in a biscuit!

Over the year many biscuit company's (and other food items alike) seem to have drastically shrunk there products in size, making them a lot smaller than what they used to be, and sadly after not having purchased the Griffins Hokey Pokey Squiggles for quite some time upon opening the packet I found that the same thing has happened to these biscuits which is rather a share. Although the biscuits may have gotten smaller, I am relieved however to say that about a year ago when I had last purchased these biscuits there was next to none filling on hokey pokey pieces in the biscuit, but I can now happily say that this problem seems to have been resolved with the filling being back to it's normal thickness and the hokey pokey pieces being of a fair amount. If it came down to deciding on having a bigger sized squiggle top or a squiggle top which consisted of more filling and hokey pokey I have to say that I would opt for the more filling, as this is why I buy these for the yummy taste!

These biscuits taste great as is, and it's hard to stop at just one with the rich creamy filling which has just the right hint of hokey pokey to it, and the crunchy biscuit base, the amount of hokey pokey is perfect and adds a really nice touch and texture to these biscuit, the chocolate is always delicious and tastes a lot to me like that of Cadbury. In the past I have used these biscuits to create a hokey pokey cheesecake, crushing them up to create the base, this tasted great though it was rather difficult to cut through it, I'm guessing to the high fat content when mixed with butter! I have crushed these up to make little truffles at Christmas and they tasted divine.

At $2.99 for a pack of 12 chocolate biscuits it's not to bad a price, but if you can buy them on sale, which is quite often for 2 packets for $5 it's even better. The packet is always easy to spot on the shelf due to it's gold metallic wrapper and big red font. Squiggle tops also come in a candy flavour too, which is also delicious but, the hokey pokey ones have to be at the top of my list.
