An interesting mix between pretzels and potato chips, but nonetheless delicious! I must say, when I saw these on the shelf I was intrigued. When I tried them I was pleasantly surprised: They tasted delicious! The honey mustard flavour really comes though in these chips (pretzels) and the onion adds to the flavour. Unlike most potato chips which tend to become bland after sometime, these tasted great throughout the entire bag (which I shamefully polished off in a day).

Honey mustard and onion is a unique flavour that I have never seen before, and this was a great introduction to it. I found that all the chips had more than enough flavour to them despite having powdered flavouring, which can often lead to some flavour being at the bottom of the packet, leaving some chips flavourless.

I also tried these pretzels with some hummus as a dip. Personally I found that the flavour of the chip overpowered the flavour of the dip. Because of this I preferred the flavour of the chips by themselves, but for those that like dip these pretzel chips can certainly be used. Although the cost may be slightly higher than regular potato chips, it's definitely worth the money on the odd occasion. I highly recommend trying these pretzel chips at least once, especially this honey mustard and onion flavour. I look forward to having them again!

I have tried several flavours of pretzel crisps so far and last night in the supermarket I decided to try the Honey Mustard and Onion flavour, deciding that these seemed a healthier choice than potato chips, and also as I had Miss 3 with me who was asking for both chips and pretzels, 2 of her favourite snack foods so I thought that these could perhaps provide her with the best of both worlds.

I love the flavour of honey mustard and we quite often have a bottle of this sauce in our pantry over the summer for salads and wraps, it is also always my go to sauce if we are eating out and this sauce is on the menu so I was most interested to see how it would go an item such as these Pretzel Crisps and as a flavouring rather than in a sauce form. As soon as I ripped the bag open (which I must say wasn't the easiest of tasks and had me reaching for the scissors) the most amazing aroma of honey mustard drifted out to me, which immediately made me think that these would be a very tasty and flavoursome snack.

The honey mustard taste was delicious and tangy similar to what I am used to, with the onion flavour being there without being overpowering providing a nice gentle taste in the background, they were very flavoursome and were certainly not lacking in taste, which I often find to be the case with many similar products. These work great on there own and in my house don't last long at all. I can see these working well on a platter or similar at a BBQ with a range of dips. They were lovely and crisp and I liked the thinness of the pretzels.

An item I will continue to put in my trolley when I happen to see them on special, would love to try some others in the range.

I got introduced to pretzels when I lived in UK. Here I could buy the traditional salted and also flavoured. The flavoured pretzels were something that I missed when I came home to New Zealand.

I was first introduced to Pretzel crisps at a food show and immediately fell in love. I loved that I could now buy different flavours, they were flat which meant that dipping them was made easier (have you ever tried to dip a traditional pretzel?).

I had not tried the Honey Mustard flavour so was keen to give it a go as it a flavour I adore. I struggled to get the rip to open on the packet and had to resort to getting a pair of scissors to cut open along the resalable edge. I do however like how the packet is resalable. The aroma of honey mustard leaped out of the bag at me. Each pretzel was crisp and heavily coated in this flavour.

I find that buying these pretzels in the supermarket are in the higher price range and so I find that the only way to afford these as a snack for myself an family is buying them at food shows. I would love the price to come down so that it is comparable to similar products so these can become a regular product in my trolley.

If you were one of the people that snacked on pretzel pieces about the thickness of a pen back in the 90's from K-Mart and loved the taste, then these are for you. As soon as as I opened the bag I flashed back to the incredibly moreish snack I used to enjoy but has since stopped being sold.
The flavour of Honey Mustard & Onion is identical as it was back then the only thing that has changed is the huge bag size and the way more convenient cross section of a pretzel shaped chip. Now these can be used to stack a slice of cheese and pickle on, enjoy on their own or use as a hearty and strong dip scooper. (I like to have more dip than chip when I dip.
Packet size wise this is a very generous amount, it is reflected in the price a little, but when you factor in having to buy say 3 other singular packets of something to equal the same quantity you can see why these are going to be the best option by far.
Very crunchy and brittle, dusted generously in flavour with a great price point for the serving size you can't go wrong. My packet disappeared very quickly and I am very keen on trying the other flavours in the range. Perfectly for entertaining or just scratching that snacking itch after tea these are a winner.

I had never heard of Pretzel Crisps before now, and frankly I didn't know what to expect until I actually tried some at a recent food show. They were quite nice, but my biggest issue with these actually has very little to do with these - it's my teeth. They have recently decided that they really don't like highly-crispy foods it seems. So, trying to recalibrate my review around that issue...

The flavour appears to be a surface powder, sprinkled on at some point in the cooking process, rather than baked-in flavour. While this may make production easier and more affordable, it did lead to a lot of the crisps I ate having very little flavour at all, and the final result was a bag full of crumbs and flavour powder. While the flavour did appeal, the nature of the flavouring did make me put the other bag I was considering back into into the review pool for someone else to claim.

Based on the crisps that did have a decent amount of flavour powder still attached to them, I found them to be a very unique and tasty snack which I am certain would go down well at parties for all those who enjoy this taste combination. However, I see this product to be better suited as a sturdy base for hors d'oeuvres (pronounced or-DERVes) and finger-food snacks, or as part of an assortment for dips and the likes.

If you find yourself with dentals issues or delicate gums, I wouldn't recommend these as a snack, but of you have good teeth and can plow through a bag of chips without too much effort, then you may find these to be quite the tasty treat. While the price is a little high for most casual budgets, it pays to keep in mind this is an imported snack and has the benefit of being very unique in the NZ marketplace.

I was given some of these pretzel crisps to review recently and when I had a friend over for morning tea, it seemed the perfect time to try them out. There is a serving suggestion of putting prosciutto and cheese on them, but I decided just to put them out with some hummus as an option side. But as it turned out, we didn't really bother with the hummus as these were delicious on their own...

The flavour description of honey mustard and onion is spot on - the honey mustard being the most noticeable, as the onion is not strong or overpowering. There is loads of flavour on these - you certainly can't accuse them of scrimping on that, but at the same time it's not too much flavour either.

These are a cute pretzel shape which keeps reminding me of the little creatures in space invaders! They are touted as being much healthier as potato chips and certainly the packaging seems to indicate this as far as fats and calories goes, but it does mean they are slightly dry to eat, although this didn't worry me.

I found this packet goes a long way, partly because these seem more filling than potato chips, so I found I could take a few to work with me each day and they made a great morning tea snack. I gave my workmates a taste too and they also agreed they were delicious with good flavour. At this price they aren't an everyday cheap snack, but as they are almost like 2 packets of chips or crackers it makes them seem more reasonable. I'd consider buying these again for when I want to serve a quality snack.
