"Hell Baby", a comedy scripted by Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (Night at The Meseum, Reno 911!:Miami) marks their co-directing debut. Jack (Rob Corddry) and Vanessa (Leslie Bibb) are an expectant couple that moves into the most haunted fixer-upper in New Orleans - a house with a deadly demonic curse.

Things soon spiral out of control for Jack and Vanessa, as well as their-not-so-helpful neighbour F'resnel (Keegan-Michael Key), Vanessa's friendly psychiatrist (Michael Ian Black), Vanessa's Wiccan sister Marjorie (Riki Lindhome) and the detectives assigned to look into the rising body count (Rob Hebel and Paul Scheer). Only the Vatican's elite exorcism team (Garant and Lennon) can save them - or can they?

So going from this movie I have learnt that you should not move into a new house where murders have occurred especially if you are pregnant. Demon babies are super cute. 'Ghosts don't kill people, people kill people' and ummmm there are some crap movies out there!

I love horrors but something always goes wrong when they try to add comedy to them. This had a very silly vomiting scene where they all took turns being sick which to me is not funny. It had a weird restaurant fetish where they ate like pigs and was actually really off putting, nothing worst than hearing someone eat with there mouths open and scoffing there face. Then there is the sister who comes to stay and stands around naked - what is the point??

But it wasn't all bad thought it was funny when earthquake happens in the house and they are all screaming and run outside and nothing is happening so they go back inside and start screaming again, the cable guy trying to drive while everyone watches was hilarious and the strange neighbour/freeloader F'resnel who defenitly stole the movie, he was 'fabulous'.

The demon baby is soooooooooooo cute, would love one except for the fact he's a vampire baby. I was not sure whether to laugh when they were playing hot potato with the babies - it's so wrong but yet kind of amusing. But in all seriousness if you have got your nails to paint or you need to watch the paint on your wall dry would probably be a better time than watching this movie. Its ok if you are really really bored and you have absolutely nothing in the world to do, but its just such a silly movie. My husband will not be letting me choose a movie for a while.

I really don't know quite where to start with this movie! Titled as a comedy I thought this movie would definitely be something I would like, even after watching the trailer I thought yea ok I can do a little bit of creepy/horror - its still a comedy so it will be ok. Well it was ok but that's all it was! In the end I waited till my husband was home to watch the movie with me as I got scared it was going to be too creepy for just me alone (I don't like horror movies) but upon reflection I would have been fine. Yes there was creepy thrown in there but nothing horror like and you knew it was going to happen so it was nothing to freak out over that's for sure.

Don't get me wrong there is slightly funny parts in this movie, both me and my husband had a few snicker's to ourselves but it certainly isn't a laugh out loud feel jolly comedy that's for sure. As far as story lines go it was pretty simple, slightly twisted that's for sure but still simple. Jack and Vanessa (who are expecting their first children - twins) buy a house to do up. Before this can happen however the devil takes over Vanessa and she is possessed - from drinking wine, smoking and being able to suddenly talk to dogs. There is also a murder thrown in there for good measure. Vanessa has the babies - one is a boy and one is a devil and all is resolved.

I wouldn't pay to watch this movie again, as my husband so dearly put it "this movie is dumb" ^lol that's about as far as his review lines go. I have to agree with him though - not a great movie and not one I would particularly recommend to others either ^:(
