I love this scone toast! Introduced to it by my work mate I quickly became addicted to this while pregnant it was my go to snack more than a breakfast or lunch food. It definitely sounds as good as it tastes that's for sure - although I'm not entirely sure as to why its called scone toast because I don't really find it anything like scones. The texture and taste is definitely different to normal bread, with the slices being so thick it allows the inside to be soft while the outside toasts up nicely.

I really liked the taste of this toast - I don't really think you can taste the honey though but this didn't worry me at all. I found the taste to be sweet enough that I could just eat it plain with margarine but at the same time was bland enough that I could eat it with jam depending on my mood. I really liked this balance of flavour that was just perfect and allowed for options, I really like that in a product and feel it would meet everyone's tastes when catering to your family.

Although its awesome the slices are so much thicker, this does mean there is a lot less in the packet compared to normal bread. This therefore means you are definitely getting a lot less for the money you pay, however its not over the top expensive so I don't mind paying for a treat. Also depending on your toaster you may not fit the toast in with it being so thick - I didn't have this problem but others may.

Something else to note is that I also found this product to be a lot more filling that other options out there. Especially with being pregnant and still working I really appreciated products that I could eat and keep me fill for a reasonable amount of time. Overall a great product which I simply love and will continue to buy over and over again! It certainly got me through my pregnancy. Totally recommend this to others to try.

I picked up a couple of loaves of this recently because it sounded super yum, and I was right! It's referred to as a scone loaf... and the texture was different than normal bread - when toasted it was light and soft on the inside, with a nice crisp outer edge. I wouldn't describe it anything like a scone though. Perhaps they were referring to the size of the slices... very very thick! With it being so thick you don't get anywhere as many slices as a normal loaf of bread, which is something to note.

The taste is nice - I couldn't detect the honey though. The apricots tasted slightly different to dried apricots from a packet and were quite tangy... I think I was expecting something sweeter, so I was a bit put off at first, until I decided I did like it. My 4 year old was not quite so impressed though.

The second loaf we froze for later use - and it thaws and toasts up nicely which I was pleasantly surprised to find. The slices break away easily while frozen so there is no need to thaw out the whole loaf at once.

I'd happily buy this again - but more as a treat for me, rather than something to feed the whole family.

I was at the supermarket buying my son's favourite Tip Top Spicy Fruit Loaf when I spotted this on special I think it was about three dollars so I decided to give it a go. I thought Cai might like it as he loves apricot and honey. I found the idea of scone toast quite interesting and the bread looked really nice through the clear plastic window with the dusting atop the slices.

Well with my son it was a fail and I wished I had bought the fruit toast I was going to buy as he would not eat this at all. Which left the rest of the loaf for us to eat. I didn't think it was to bad it had a texture quite like a scone and had a definite apricot taste, with a hint of honey. The dusting on the top gave it a little bit of sweetness too so was quite nice spread with just butter.

This product caught my eye at the supermarket on Sunday evening. I was thinking of getting some cereal for my breakfasts for the week. Then as I headed to the breakfast foods section, scone toast magically leapt into my trolley. The packet showed yummy honey and apricot and the window showed me just how thick the slices were. Sold!

The first morning, I put these in the toaster and had two slices with some Barker's Lime Curd and butter. I found they fitted into my toaster, but only just. They didn't get hot enough to melt the butter though and spreading it was a bit haphazard. Once the toppings were on sufficiently I sat down to eat. The toast bread has a sour taste, like soda bread or scone should. Unfortunately, the apricots are really sour and bitter, probably because they are in a scone mix. I didn't really detect any hints of honey.

I decided to try making bread and butter pudding with this last night. I soaked the bread both sides in a egg, milk and sugar mix. Then I baked it for an hour. The result was soft and eggy dessert bread. I served it hot with ice cream last night and cold with yoghurt this morning. The apricots were much nicer once they had been baked in this manner. I probably wouldn't buy this flavour again, unless I was specifically buying it to make luxury bread and butter pudding but would be willing to try other flavours if and when they become available.
