Ho, ho, ho! Join me, Geronimo Stilton, in three great fabumouse Christmas adventures!

Christmas Catastrophe - surely a little skiing couldn't hurt a rodent, right? Wrong. Mouldy mozzarella! When my ski trip landed me in the hospital, I was sure it was going to be the worst Christmas ever! But my family and friends had something else in mind...

The Christmas Toy Factory - Ho, ho, ho! I love Christmas in New Mouse City. But this year, Grandfather William wanted me to research a new story. He asked me to dress up like Santa Claus and let lots of little mouselets sit on my lap. Cheese niblets! If only I had my own team of reindeer and could fly far, far away...

A Very Merry Christmas - 'Tis the season to be jolly - and holey cheese was I trying! But on my way to New York City to meet my family for the holidays, my luggage got switched with another mouse's...Oh, rats! Now I had to scurry all over the Big Apple trying to track down that mouse...and all my Christmas presents!

Geronimo Stilton are one of my daughters favourite books to read. I bought her this book for Christmas last year. As it is quite cheap it makes a good affordable stocking filler.

The book is beautifully illustrated throughout with Christmas images which my daughter enjoyed copying and having a go at drawing them herself.

The stories have really nice storylines about Christmas and spending time with family. I especially like the Christmas catastrophe as it is quite realistic we always seem to have catastrophes around Christmas.

One thing I really liked about the book was it had little Christmas activities that the child can do like making Christmas themed biscuits and Christmas decorations so it is more than just an enjoyable story.

I like to buy a Christmas book each year. This year I chose this one since we have recently discovered Geronimo Stilton and are now great fans. This will get your young readers into the Christmas spirit or make a great Christmas gift for your children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews or friend's children.

This special edition is three to four times bigger than the usual Stilton sized junior novel and has three "Whisker licking good adventures". It is also only around $10 more than one book.

Christmas Catastrophe: The moral of this story is about compassion and caring for someone when they are sick or injured. Geronimo Stilton (editor of 'The Rodent's Gazette'), shouts family and friends to a skiing trip, staying on Frozen Fur Peak. But an accident with Speedy Daremouse on the mountain lands Geronimo in hospital with many broken bones. He has to have surgery and has many new experiences and meets fabulous new friends.

The Christmas Toy Factory: This story is about the spirit of Christmas. Geronimo has been working too much and neglecting his family and friends, even himself. He has forgotten about what is important. On Christmas Eve when just about to write an article about the real spirit of Christmas, he falls asleep. Next thing he is being whisked away on a sleigh to the North Pole by Ding Dong the Elf because Santa needs his help. He has an amazing Christmas adventure and learns about the true meaning of Christmas.

A Very Merry Christmas: This is a fun, Christmas Time, Geronimo adventure in New York city. Willaim Shortpaws (Geronimo's Grandfather) arranges a family Christmas holiday in New York but at the airport Geronimo mixes up his bag with someone elses. His bag contained presents for the MacMouse's (the family they are staying with) so he has to find his bag. He finds out he has the bag of one Mrs Smith and realises she must have his bag so he embarks on an awesome New York adventure to find her and get his bag back.

Like I have said with the other Geronimo Stilton books, I think it would suit 7-11 years old, but of course this depends on their individual reading level. I read it to my son, a few chapters at a time and he loves these books because of all of the colourful words in different fonts, with cool phrases like : "Slimey swiss balls" "My little cheddar chunk" "Moldy mozerella Balls!" "fabumouse!" and "Holy Cheese!". Also funny names like: "Uncle Walter Worry Whiskers" and "Petunia Pretty Paws"

All of the illustrations, which aren't just pictures but descriptions of characters (if you are new to these books all of the characters are mice), places and situations written about in the book. Each page is very interactive and great for the imagination.

Note: Some people don't like the coloured, bold words in different font and if it were a serious story I would agree, but with both my child and I being very visual and imaginative people, It's something I really like that about these books ^:) I also think that it's important to make things fun when they are just starting out to keep them interested in reading.
