A freshly baked classic crust topped with garlic and tasty mozzarella, cut into bites sized pieces. |

This used to be a real favourite of mine but the current recipes seems to be really light on garlic. Not as impressed as I used to be. Try again guys, this one needs a bit of backdating. Can't even get it cut in wedges anymore, so there goes my instant Pizza Casadias. |

The taste and texture of this was more than a little greasy and had me wondering also if there had been any garlic used or whether it had been waved past a bulb on its way out the door. When it is fresh this is a good addition to the family meal, but it does not heat up well. The way the portions are cut makes it difficult to do a garlic bread sandwich, which I used to like to do with the last incarnation. The pricetag of $4.90 per pizza base was a litle steep for my liking. In short, I am doubtful I will be getting this again unless the garlic and cheese ratios improve. |

The latest incarnation of the old favourite, these are much the same, though presented differently. Despite the promotional picture on the official website, these are actually cut into square, bite-sized chunks. I don't know if it is wishful thinking, or a genuine memory, but I remember there being more garlic than the current version presented me with. I would have thought it just one of the milder ones, but of the three packs we got, all were the same... just a little bland for my tastes. A tad more garlic, and a smidge more cheese would have really made these perfect... and perhaps just a hard nudge as it entered the oven, to shorten the cooking time a bit, would have improved it too... I like to have chewy cheese, not cheese glaze. Again with the picky lad comment. Overall, though not quite as impressed with this version as with the original, it's still a viable alternative from the usual garlic bread... for those who enjoy variety on occasion. |
