Clever hoch drei (Clever Cubed) features the same gameplay as Ganz schön clever and Doppelt so clever, but with new categories in which to score - sometimes with several dice at the same time.
Your goal: Choose dice, then place the numbers into the matching coloured area, put together tricky chain-scoring opportunities, and rack up the points. The dice you don't use are as important as what you do because every die that's smaller than the chosen one can be used by the other players, keeping everyone in the game at all times.

Clever Cubed is the third in a series of games by Stronghold Games. The basic gameplay is the same as the previous two. You roll the dice, each of which is a different colour and can only be written into its corresponding colour on your scoring sheet, except for white which must either be added to dark blue or can otherwise be placed in any colour. You have the chance to earn rerolls and plus ones, both of which can be rather useful, and there is now an added bonus which will allow you to change the value of the dice you have selected (the more you earn the better the value change).
Out of the three currently available, I think this is my favourite to play. In the pink section, you must pick between doubling the number you are writing down or halving it and gaining the bonus. Brown, you can cross off any number but you then lose all the numbers still available to the left of it and thus can't gain as many points. And then the teal, you don't have to cross off a full row or column to gain the bonus, but the more that you can cross off, the more you score at the end. I really enjoyed this one and I'm impatiently awaiting the release of the fourth game in this series to be on sale in NZ.
