My 5 year old absolutely loves Blaze and The Monster Machines being one of his favourite Nick Jnr programs, he has watched many episodes in the past but he was very excited about these new episodes he had not yet seen due to the fact we no longer have sky television. Blaze is definitely a series I enjoy too and know he actually learns something from, some of the things he has talked about after having watched Blaze have blown me away.

Telling me about speed and velocity and trajectories there is definitely a lot of science and maths to be learnt from watching a cute children's film. Blaze is a loveable character who makes the episodes fun we always have a good time watching. Of course Blaze is always the champion of the races because he is fair and honest and of course fast. Crusher is the sneaky one who always tries to trick Blaze so he can win but the good guy always wins!

The episodes on this DVD were very enjoyable for some of the races Blaze and the other monster trucks transformed into race cars for racing so it was a bit different to other episodes we have seen on the television. The theme was definitely velocity which my 5 year old was able to tell me was related to how fast they were going. If they wanted to out run someone who was going at a velocity of 8 they had to increase their velocity to a number higher than 8 so my 5 year old was quite happy to shout out the higher numbers to let Blaze know what velocity he needed to reach.

These interactive type shows that prompt the children to think and work things out are great and I love how age appropraite they are for young learners with the mix of likeable characters and simple learning techniques, definitely a winner in our house.
