Heartside Bay #12 - Winter Wonderland product reviews

Life, love and everything in between.

The 12th book in the Heartside Bay Series.

Heartside Bay has been transformed into a Winter Wonderland for a feature in a magazine. Eve is in her element arranging all the glamorous decorations for the glossy spread. Her girlfriend Becca, however, can't stand how cheesy and superficial it all is.

Eve must decide whether she can be with someone who doesn't understand the things she loves.

The Last Book 'Lovers and Losers' I could not wait for the end of it all and now I just don't want it to finish. It didn't end like most books do by giving you a big wrap up or a five years later note it just finished as all of the books had as if not a care in the world. There was no real finale it just ended with them all having 'another' beach party agreeing they would always return to this spot.

This book was centered around Eve and trying to save the town from the big shopping centre which is due to open shortly. With the aid of her friends she transforms Down Town into a Winter Wonderland and when the biggest Tourism magazine wants to do a spread on the event Heartside is saved. During this Eve loses and finds love and is reunited with her father.

As with all of the Heartside Books I love how simplistic they are so easy to read and just flows beautifully. The writing is so vivid and the way Cathy Cole explains the scene or an emotion is fantastic. I have really enjoyed her writing style. Where as I have not always enjoyed the actual story I can not fault the way it has been told.

Its amazing how much has happened to Eve, Polly, Lila and Rhi from enemies to best friends. Through love and heartbreak. To think the twelve books were only based on a little over a year of their lives and so much has happened with record contracts, clothing, arts. It just goes to show how hetic life can be and you don't even relaise it - more so if your a teen from Heartside Bay. Great series that everyone should read.

Product reviews for listing 3450: The Expanse - 2 - Caliban's War -  Written by James S. A. Corey

Product image for The Expanse - 2 - CalibanFor someone who didn't intend to wreck the solar system's fragile balance of power, Jim Holden did a pretty good job of it. While Earth and Mars have stopped shooting each other, the core alliance is shattered. The outer planets and the Belt are uncertain in their new - possibly temporary - autonomy.

Then, on one of Jupiter's moons, a single super-soldier attacks, slaughtering soldiers of Earth and Mars indiscriminately and reigniting the war. The race is on to discover whether this is the vanguard of an alien army, or if the danger lies closer to home.
